Wheel Woolie?

I bought this sponge/microfiber shaggy brush thing from PepBoys today, $8, and in it's defense it worked great until the brush decided it no longer wanted to be attached to the handle. I got 4 wheels washed with it and now debating whether I want to shove one of my wife's large knitting needles into the handleless brush or to just buy the Wheel Woolie 3-pack. Anyone here use Wheel Woolies? How well do they hold up?

I've had mine for a year and they've held up well. They seem pretty spendy for what they are, though. That being said I haven't seen any suitable or equivalent replacements.

I just use an old microfiber wash mitt. Used to use it on the car itself, but now that it's older I just use it on the wheels (don't use it on the car again). Gets in there good enough, but the best way to clean the wheels 100% is to take them off, and yes it's a huge pain.

Although, the EZ Detail wheel brush does a pretty damn good job.
