Putting everything on paper and on track aside, I am very impressed at how BMW was able to achieve what most drivers and Porsche drivers call perfection in a proper track/street car in just one attempt. If all goes according to plan, the next F3X M3 platform will be showing us different versions/iterations and perhaps another M3 GTS to match Porsche's next GT3 RS. Good job BMW

Awesome!
Now watch it again and notice how low she sits! She can barely look over the dash! How can she see the track? I'd be scared as a passenger too! |

m3 is easier to drive, 911 requires more input - been the same story for decades.
people say the 911 when driven properly is more rewarding. both cars are sensational, but those times are b.s. the variables are too important: 1. drivers 2. the gt3rs comes w/ ps cups / m3 gts comes with neova ad08s i believe - those cups, when heated up, are faster. the m3 has always been the form of practicality and sportiness.

I like both of them. However, not only can I not drive like that, but the GTS isn't available on this side of the pond either. That coupled with with you can't get new ones of either anymore, and I don't have the money laying around means that my opinion means next to nothing. I would probably stick with the normal M3 though and save myself the extra money. Finally, I don't even have the driving skill to handle a normal M3 over the GTS so it's all a mute point really.

Ooh.. I'm a huge BMW fan, but the 911 just works as a track day car. The big spoiler looks smoother on it, the GTS, while a technical wonder under the hood, looks like an M3 in bold paint and a kinda awkward spoiler. M3 for the streets/weekend track warrior, 911 GT3 as a full time track warrior.
