I'd be willing to pay more money to get the Euro version. Why don't we get that version? Especially now with Europe emission standards and such being stricter then NA. I just don't get it........

So I guess you are close to BMWMexico? You drive his stroker before you got yours finished? I can't remember but i thought the order of RD46s was JDM, then PG, then BMWMexico, then you, right?

BMWMexico is me!! lol!! Changes my name. Apologies for the confusion this may have caused.

The difference between Euro and US is not so much an emissions issue rather than other small details that the US DOT requires, for instance, front apron for US vehicles has to have reflectors and for some reason beyond my understanding US versions do not have forward PDC. Also, Euro M3 seats have considerably more bolstering in the bottom part (US version is identical in the bottom to a 335 seat), cams are also different and ECU setting of course are a tad different as well. So, in order for you to "legally" import a Euro version, I think you may have to at least theoretically comply with some of these items, though for sure not all.

I was close I guess, nd54 was the one I couldn't remember, so I shifted JMD to the front. Btw, there will be another in 2010 as well

1. Current stroker baseline + throttle bodies
2. #1 + Envy intake system
3. #2 + Ericsson exhaust -- full catless.

There's a possibility that #1 will not happen at all. If that's the case, then only two more dyno's will be done: #2, #3.
So you are going back to the Ericsson? Interesting. Unless I am incorrect, but didn't you dump the Ericsson for the RD exhaust when the car was first in for the stroker treatment? I thought I remember your discussing this, but again, maybe I am still drunk from sat

I can't go catless as this will be a street car (with plenty of track time), but street car nonetheless, and in PA, a sniffer is part of the registration/inspection process (but hey, locals can't use radar, so win some lose others).

I can't decide between Akr, or one of the three Ti systems (encor, VS, Vanguard, though I think VS will win with Lucid and monsta's reviews plus I heard monsta's in person).....decisions, decisions. Though I love the sound of that Ericsson, its uniqueness and its stats, I will be building a house and just might get by the wife if I push it and drop 10k on an exhaust, bad enough I'm dropping a 20k+ engine into a 70k car (wife: doesn't the car come with an engine for 70k?-----).

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the throttle bodies and exhaust combo feels.

Cheers,

Heh - they don't check for DOT, or tint, or a host of other things in PA...it will fail the sniffer test though, and the OBD-II readiness. Although some counties in PA have NO emissions testing - Butler County, PA for one.

Yea that would be my problem as well, we do have to pass a "sniffer" test EVERY year.

Difference is my dealer is mod friendly, so they won't say anything about the exhaust and let it go, but its kind of hard to fake a sniff test, and you can't print out the sticker until the computer smells the right mixture of gases

After several months of owning and running my RS46 M3 Club Sport over a number of challenging roads, tracks and so on, I thought I might just update everyone that may be interested in what my thoughts are. And well, without boring anyone to death, I can truly say that I am impressed with the all around performance of the vehicle, turn in is much, much sharper, steering feel is improved and for sure, the car pulls much stronger than it did before. I have so much confidence in the car and I really throw it around many times with the ECU completely off and boy is this an exciting car!!!!! For instance, take off with ECU off, full-throttle is a crazy snake that smokes those 305 Perelli Corsas!!! Wow!! I have a number of other true sports cars to compare it to and most of these unbelievably feel "bland" after driving the RS46 M3 Club Sport. I am a satisfied customer and would do this all over again!! I do most certainly recommend this car. Please find some updated pics at the end of the older pics below.

Try living in the netherlands where a loaded m3 will cost you 130K euro, 173K USD
Other then that i love your car, just bought a m3 e92 and looking at tuning options. Akrapovi full exhaust is underway to me now for the engine tuning ....
