Alpine White - Exterior Mod & Wheel options

What are good exterior options and color combos for Alpine White? There are some amazing cars on the forum, and I'm looking for some guidance based on the experience of the group.

Background:
-Alpine White w/ OEM gloss black front grill, clear reflectors and tinted windows. (Angle eyes v3 and 15/12mm spacers on back order)

Questions:
- Do I paint the 19" Style 220 wheels gloss black, gunmettal or buy an aftermarket set? I like the Breyton GTS, VMR V710's and HRE P40 (ouch!), and many others.
-Color for the front splitter and rear diffuser?
-Opinion on how the carbon fiber looks with the AW and gloss black trim combo. From searching the forums, some mix carbon fiber, gloss black, matte black and even gun metal. My goal is to keep the car looking clean.

Does anyone have ideas, thoughts and/or suggestions? Thanks a lot, and pictures are very helpful!

My 2 cents..

- I wouldn't paint the aftermarket set. I don't know what it is but they lose something when they are painted. Check out the link below..the guy has powdercoated oem 19s.
http://www.rcautomotive.com/detail-2...d-5672907.html

From your choices, I would go V710s or P40s. I believe the V710s are almost identical to the P40s. Ran a set on my 335i and loved them. Just depends how much you want to spend and if you need authentic.

- Carbon fiber or Gloss black front lip and rear diffuser would look nice. Just make sure you stick with the same material..carbon/carbon or gloss/gloss..

- Also, I know what you're saying about keeping things clean. I have a buddy that has an e36 M3 with a ton of carbon fiber accessories on it. It's a nice car but a lot of people thing it's kinda "messy" at the same time. For me, I would either stick with gloss black accessories or carbon fiber. Since you have gloss black grilles, maybe get the lip or diffuser in gloss black. Or if you like carbon fiber more, just invest in carbon fiber kidneys. I think if you just stick with the big things like lip, wheels, and diffuser you will be ok with whatever. It's when people get into hoods, carbon vents, spoilers, etc where it starts to look like too much.

Well, if you want different then you should not ask what others think...

Anyway, check out other factory HALO cars. Porsche is VERY good at selling special cars that do not go overboard - you know VTEC Accord body kit category.

For example look at the GT3 RS cars. You can pick up some interesting themes and hints from how the pros do it. IMHO throwing some random combination of add ons looks like crap. you need to think everything through and needs to work together. IND cars are also good inspirations.

What about CF wheels with CF spoiler, assuming you have the CF roof?

AW wheel and exterior color follow-up

Thanks. Personally, I think the painted oem 19s on the referenced car looks odd because of the silver band around the rim. With a few exceptions, I'm not crazy about multi colored wheels. Full gun metal, silver or all black looks better in my opinion. Still, I can paint the OEM wheels for $400, or pay $3K + for a new set. Maybe I'll get lucky and find something used. Don't care about wheel brand, just quality. Will switch out the center caps of the wheels regardless.

Thoughts on going gloss black on the diffuser and lip, and gun metal or matte black for the wheels? Having trouble picturing it all working together.

The 9.5"/10.0" VB3s are still my favorite on the AW e92.

Here's what a Challenge carbon fiber lip looks like on AW with black kidney grills.

There is someone local who wants the diffusers, I'll contact you if he backs out. I don't know about the OEM centers, though. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Appreciate the pic. Both the wheels and lip look great. Are there color variations with Carbon fiber where some are darker than others? As to the wheels, do you have any pics in matte or gun metal on AW?

BTW, which Angle Eyes are those? I ordered v.3's from you guys a few weeks ago, along with 15/12mm spacers and still no shipment. Back ordered?

I haven't seen any sort of carbon fiber color variations on a lip, we used to make silver and titanium carbon interior peices but nothing for the exteriror. To my knowledge, all of the manufactures use your standard black carbon fiber. Here are some pics of that Challenge lip in the sunlight:

Here are some quick photoshops of the same wheels in gunmetal and matte black:

PM me your name and I'll check up on your order status for you.
