I tried to put spacers in the rear, but there wasn't enough room. The 295 AD-08's are really wide. Even 5mm were wide enough to make it rub. I just noticed I'm getting a slight rub in the front with 10mm spacers and 255/35/19's. The tires are pretty square.
Fish - I did notice an increase in power. It was similar to what others have reported where standard mode feels like it's in power mode, power mode feels even stronger and M Drive with Sport Plus feels insane. It's almost twitchy. Very abrupt and sharp feeling. A stark contrast to S3 and Power off mode. At the end of the day, I'm probably not experienced enough to know how much of it is power vs. throttle response, but it feels better. I hope you're right about the mileage BTW. It went from about 12mpg to 13.5mpg and I'm going to keep an eye on it. Saturday is my 1200 mile service so maybe that'll make a difference. |

I had to add the row of buttons at the bottom for the Front PDC and originally had blanks where the heated seats buttons are. The problem is that when the heated seats came on, the green indicators lit up above the blank buttons. It looked completely ridiculous to have lit up indicators with no corresponding button so I adding the heated seats buttons and made it much more logical and intuitive for passengers / other people not used to the car.

It also looks like you added a sunroof according to the PDC graphic on i-drive
A friend of mine notice that on my car (which has the CF roof) which I though was funny.... A small screw up on BMW's side

That's interesting.
One question that pops into mind is - what does a new model OEM 3 series that has front PDC and heated seats look like from the factory? Surely a factory stock car doesn't have the heated seat buttons/LEDs in the lower button panel, right? I guess what I am saying is, it seems like there must be part that has the PDC LED, but omits the heated seat LEDs. Or am I wrong? Either way though, sick car. And it is always nice to hear stories of people retrofitting OEM options and getting the coding done and electronics working just like it came from the factory that way. Quote:

Interesting, so the heated seats button on the HVAC as well as on the lower button console both work?
Does anyone have the correct part number for the lower button console that includes the heated seats buttons, PDC, Rear Sunshade, and the Auto Start/Stop button?

Yes, the top and bottom both work. When you buy the button set it comes with all of the buttons you mentioned (auto start/stop etc...) as well as the blanks for each slot.

Hi Buddster. Now that you have the car broken in and all that.
How does she drive? Power must be better than stock, tires getting it down to the road, larger rubber for handling. Let me know how you like it. I love those rims. I just feels so good inside and out eh? DaFish

If I were to do this, I am assuming I would not need to buy this kit as it is already on my car since I have the rear shade option..... It probably requires just a front PDC button for the interior portion of this mod?

Very very very nice!! Beautiful interior, shouldn't be that bad because the worst part about light interior is the carpet and kick plates. Your carpet is black so you're good!! Car looks great man,and great work. I live in Vegas, might be worth my while to take a 3 hour drive to pay Tom a visit.

Thanks guys. I don't think you can get the buttons by themselves but check with Tom at EAS - he'll know. Dafish - the car drives really well. With the tune, pulley, scoops and MS intake, it's definitely quicker and more powerful than stock. Love the AD-08's as well. Even in the rain, the car has grip. I don't regret any of the mods so far. The agency power intake is a POS - I was glad to have replaced it with the Macht Schnell. I'm thinking the alcantara headliner is probably my next step. It's cheaper than the differential or an installed 9500CI and money is little tighter these days. I'll keep the thread rolling when I get there. Props to Tom at EAS. They do a phenomenal job and are extremely trustworthy.
