Vorsteiner Exhaust and GruppeM Intake Combo
Hey Guys,
Well I've finally received my Vorsteiner Titanium exhaust, Rear CF Diffuser and Gruppe M orders after a 2-month waiting period. Yay! Two months was well worth the wait! I finally returned home on Sunday 30th Nov at 815am after a taxing work attachment abroad. Excitement kicked in when I first saw my Vorsteiner Titanium Exhaust and Rear CF Diffuser sitting in my garage. I could not resist the urge to wait till Monday so I raced down to my bro-in-law's tyre shop to utilize his jack and fit my system. So rewarding to DIY! first time owner of Titanium pipes and also first time fitting the exhaust myself. Vorsteiner's system has really impressed me in on the levels of build quality, engine note and also performance. I never realized how restricted the stock OEM system was until the Vorsteiners were fitted. Gosh, the revs were so freed up and listening to the engine pur @ low revs (2k ~ 3.5k) was simply blissful music to my ears and the grin on my face was forever growing. Monday morning was even better start to the week when my brother deliver my GRUPPE M system to my office. Haha... I rescheduled a customer appointment because I could not resist waiting to fit the intake and rear CF diffuser. I know some people critique the GRUPPE M system for being overpriced and not making much difference to performance but i seem to think it was a good buy cos i felt the car breath heaps better, pulled harder/smoothly and contributed with amplifying the engine/exhaust growl a lot more than the standard air-box combo. Just thought I'd share some pics with you guys and may do a video during the week. Thanks to Mike Lam of Vorsteiner for being efficient and class service. Feel free to comment

Thanks buddy... I really appreciate your feedback. I was a lil glum when my pro JDM mate told me that Titanium pipes were a bad choice cos they sound tin like. Haha! I called my JDM mate of mine and told him the pur and note was pure bliss compared. He came over after work and gave me the "OMG" look and was speechless for literally 10mins.
I suppose compressed audio on Youtube didn't do the exhaust system any justice whilst I was researching on the system. Took the leap of faith and went with the purchase from Vorsteiner direct and got the system for a good bargain with the diffuser combo. Are you running a system on your ride? BTW... i noted your ride color was Interlagos Blue. Sweet color mate.

Looks really good. If you yourself can justify the money spent on the car as being worth it, then good for you man!
Love the way the intake looks and the bluish titanium pipes are hot! I just think it's a bit overpriced for me. Cheers!

very nice... once I pass in break-in period, I will look into this...
When you do mods like this, have you run into problems getting BMW warranty service done? Do the dealers claim the warranty is invalidated by mods such as exhaust and intake manifold mods (not counting ECU mods, as I think they might have a case here). |

Well I have checked with my dealership and they have confirmed with me that warranty is not an issue. They only said warranty would be in question if upgrades were very serious... to the extent in changing pulleys etc. I think in general, exhausts and intakes are acceptable.
