What's the best deal anyone's gotten on an EURO DEL M3 Sedan?

I've called a couple of dealers and gotten quotes in the $1750 to $2000 over invoice range, but since you can buy a sedan locally for invoice I don't see why the Euro Del should be so much more $$$. I'd like to take one out on the Nurburgring so I was curious if anyone knows of a fairer deal?

It's a bit more paperwork for them, but you're right in the quotes you are getting seem too high. Have you tried Irv Robinson? I've never done any business with him, but he's (was?) a forum sponsor and advertises as a European Delivery Specialist. I would think that a local dealer, who has had experience with ED and knows the process, should be happy to sell you an ED car for a few hundred bucks more than a special order. Right now, a sale is a sale, so it's not like they are fighting to keep it from being deducted from their allotment. (Which an M-car is, unlike "regular" BMWs sold ED.)

If you're in LA try Philipek (not sure which dealer he works at) or Will@LongBeachBMW. There is no extra discount for M cars with ED but you should still be able to get about the same deal that you would if you were to not do ED.

Anyone got a number for E92 for ED? I spoke to my local CA and he's talking 'no change from MSRP EXCEPT less 7% ED discount' - but I thought there was no standard ED -7% off for M-cars? So he's either misinformed or policy has changed in this tough sales environment.

Be that as it may and w/ the economy going to get worse this Qtr and into 1H '09, there's no way I'm not getting a decent deal on an ED delivery E92. Sorry for the - I guess I need to start this as my own post

Your CA doesn't know what he's talking about. There's no invoice discount for an ED M car, and unlike regular models these cars are taken out of a dealer's allotment. Given how the Dollar's been doing against the Euro, the real cost of your trip will be substantially cheaper than it was a few months ago. (Not the cost of the car, though.)

Although from a BMWNA program perspective you are correct, some dealers are in fact offering discounts on ED deals. Other CAs flat out refuse to sell an M3 via ED. Still other CAs had told me that even if a CA says they'll sell an ED M3, when it comes time to buy that their dealership GM or BMWNA will refuse the deal and not to believe what we read on these Forums (I guess some CAs are in Denial)

I'm confused. Are you saying that some CAs are selling an ED car for less than they would charge for a special order car picked up locally? I don't understand the finances that make that work if BMW isn't cutting them a break, like on a regular BMW, but it's good information to have if some guys are doing it.

Got to be B/S re no ED on M3s - is your denial comment is on target - as we have seen some on this board pick up theirs at Die Welt.

I'm sure - given the environment - that discount on an ED is do-able. BMW AG had been banking on selling more M's to the BRICs and Mid-East, well, with those economies also tanking that plan looks awry now.

BMW is challenged and they're better off eating some EBIT margin to shift the production run. I sure as hell am not paying MSRP for ED.
