Wider tires on zcp wheels

Hey guys. I have an e90 zcp and was wondering if I’m able to run 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 on my zcp wheels without any issues such as rubbing. I’m currently on stock zcp suspension.

You'll be fine. I'd bet half the people on this site run that size.

You can run up to 275/30 and 295/30's without issue, but it may be brand dependent. I'm on p4s'.

Correct, and sedans actually have a bit more room in the rear wheel wells.

Keep 3 things in mind; tire brand differences, spacers and suspension/ride height.

Personally I run RE71Rs on my ZCP with 15mm front and 12mm rear and a set of Ohlins R&T.

Height is set at the 'stock' Ohlins recommended measurements(preload, strut length and height) which effectively lowers the car 20mm from factory height.

I went through a set of RE71Rs with 245/265 combo and no issues. Then I decided to go up to 255/275 and the rear began rubbing. Ultimately I had to remove the 12mm spacer in the rear and all was OK.

The re71r has a very tall shoulder where as I remember PSS didn't. There will always be slight differences between tire brands even at same fitments. In other words a 275 RE71R 'may' fit different than the P4S or a PSC2 or xxx.

Just a thought

255/35 - 275/35 is proven change that will work. There are the perfect tire size for the OEM Competition Wheel.

I have 255/35 - 275/35, had them with PSS and now with PS4S and it looks way better than factory sizing in my opinion. I run them with a 15mm and 5mm spacers front and back respectively and no issues at all. Looks fantastic.

I'm running a 275/30/19-F & 295/30/19-R setup and clear on a Michelin PSS tire. Has anyone run the same size tire on PS4S without rubbing?

I can't speak for the front as I went with 255/35/19 there, but I have 295/30/19 rear on stock ZCP suspension and wheels, and it is fine with no rubbing. PS4S.

I would assume that PS4S in your 275 sizing fits fine in the front as it is only a tiny bit wider than the PSS from what I recall.

That's hard to say as I track the car; that was my reason for stepping up to that compound tire. Your suspension geometry will also greatly impact their life. My GC camber plates are set at -2.5.

That said I get about 8-10k miles and 2-4 track days. Also I don't daily the car.

That's because of the spacer, you effectively now have an ET16 front wheel. The issue is tire height not width in this case due to the aggressive offset.

As far as a 275/295 setup it will fit with no issues. It won't be optimum though. I moved on from my ZCPs to the VMR V810s due to the lighter weight which made up for the wider tires, wider width (19X10 and 19X11) and more aggressive offset. Couldn't be more happier.

What is the ET for the VMR wheels you got? Do you a picture of your setup?

The VMR810 wheels I have are 19X10 and 19X11 both front and rear have an ET25. A few pics.

The VMR V810 wheels are flow formed. Lighter than the OEM ZCP wheels yet wider and more aggressive offset.
