BMW Carly killed Ambient Lighting?

Coded my friends 2015 BMW X5 earlier today and somewhere in the coding session the Ambient Lighting turned off. I don't know when specifically. I reset all modules back to stock and nothing worked. Made sure to check vehicle lighting settings and everything is turned on. Scanned the car and cleared codes and still nothing. Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue? The lighting was 100% working prior to coding. I've reached out to Carly already but figured I'd ask here if anyone else had this same issue. Very frustrated as this isn't even my car

Throw that thing in the garbage would be Step 1.

Step 2, invest in a proper ODB2 cable for programming and set up a notebook or something cheap/portable.

did you code the FRM? you may have somehow triggered a short circuit fault in the FRM module.

agreed with 6ixSpd, get a proper cable and software. you'll need to reset the short circuit counter in the FRM using tool32. carly won't help you here.

It actually fixed itself. After coding was done to anything in the frm the ambient lighting turned off but we left the car sitting for 5 minutes and it came back on when started again. There's definitely bugs with Bmw Carly but for standard stuff I think it's fine. I only use ncs expert for retrofits
