- If I start with stage 1 and then later add test pipes, what is the up-charge for stage 2, if any?
- Once at stage 2, will the car show as 100% "ready" when plugged into a smog machine here in CA (there is no sniffer, but ECU must be in a normal state with no check engine light to pass)
Hello, you will see gains all around. I am sure if you ask other members in this thread you will see the throttle is not sensitive at all.

You can go tuned to stock at anytime you wish, including going straight to 241E stock. I never charge anything additional for future map requests, so if you decide to go to stage 2 just email me and I will send you a stage 2 file at no additional cost. Future updates are also free of charge.

I can not answer your last question regarding smog, sorry.

Hi Alex,

Is your stage 1 tune compatible with CA smog? I have the stock x pipe (all 4 stock cats in place). I'm going to have MRF install your tune shortly and just want to know if it's smog compliant. Thanks.

I got my car sorted by Alex earlier today. (Picked it up yesterday haha). Aside from coding I got the GTS DCT time and Engine remap. Not that he needs another testimonial but Alex is a very professional guy and everything was quick and easy. The car is a whole new animal now! I didn’t find the throttle overly sensitive, just very direct and allows for minute modulation. With power mode turned off the response is smooth as silk. I highly recommend the map you won’t regret it.

Thanks again Alex.

If you have all cats intact, no tune should affect smog.

Alpine MSS flash ecu by Alex

Just did the flash Friday on my new 2018 F80 m3 zcp with Alex online and running the stage2 plus map. Runs and sounds great. Too much power for my stock ZCP MPS tires. Cannot get traction at WOT thru third gear. I need to find out from Alex if there is a way for me to log data and monitor for any misfiring or other issues which would be detrimental to the health of the engine long term. He was great to work with and using Team viewer on my laptop flashed the car remotely.

Just wanted to add my experience working with Alex.
We had a few challenges with hardware and a slow ISP.

Alex was absolutely fabulous to work with and pushed through to get everything done.

We did a stage 2 tune; DCT flash and some coding.
I had the car out to the track on the weekend and the car performed flawlessly.

Thanks Alex, your efforts and expertise is greatly appreciated!!

My experience with Alex was phenomenal. He took care of me even though I had some dumb questions. The tune changed the car quite a bit, the low end torque pick up was a great improvement. He's very responsive to texts and willing to work on tunes as soon as you ask for it.

Purchased the tune from Alex spoke thru email but cool guy very helpful. All I have on the car now is drop in filter and exhaust delete but the car feels way better can't wait to get the test pipes in and change the tune. Thank you Alex and the memeber's here for the great the info.

I just picked up a 2012 e92 DCT which is all stock except a Borla ATAK cat back. I have started testing the performance on the vbox. So far have only had the chance to do some 0-60mph pulls but perhaps this weekend will try 0-100, 60-130, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, etc.

I am getting new tires soon so I will test with the new tires as well. Thereafter I will be getting the 91 tune from Alex (through MRF Engineering), along with the GTS DCT tune and Euro MDM. Then, I will test again.

I have tested on the dyno before with my previous S/C e92, but this time around I'm simply going to leave it to performance tests.

So far I'm at 0-60 in 4.2 seconds which is pretty much what one would expect for a stock car. But conditions weren't great and I'm hopeful to get that number a little lower before getting the tune and further improvement expectations.

Will check back in later with results.
I can't do an apples to apples test but I have promising initial data with the Alpine Stage 1 tune with 8,600 rpm limit.

Picked up a 34,000 mile stock ZCP e92 DCT with a Borla ATAK catback. Car was on stock tire sizes and on the vbox I did a few pulls. 0-60mph best of 4.207....slightly uphill....no tire spin. Just punching the throttle without hitting the "kickdown" button.

Put the stock rear section exhaust, got heavier larger 255/275 tires, heavier StopTech380/355 F and R brakes and got the Alpine Stg 1 tune. Did a 0-60mph test on the same road slightly uphill and did a 4.188 time....again no tire spin. Slight improvement with heavier unsprung weight and a heavier call altogether which means the tune added a little power.

I love the 8,600 rpm limit on the track which means less of a chance of bouncing off fuel cut.

I did more testing stock like 1/4 mile and 60-130 so eager to test these out later and report back.

Damn. Pretty stoked you got Alex's tune as well. Looking forward to seeing the reminder of the numbers! Thanks for sharing the 0-60mph times. Wonder what 0-60 you'd get using LC with lowered RPM from GTS DCT Update from Alex.

Burbles are mostly for cars with x pipe/test pipes. It will be hard to hear with just a muffler.
