Thanks for posting this

Having driven both cars brings back great memories. I owned the e46 from spring 2004 to spring 2010 and drove it coast to coast. Loved to see the e90 in the same colour my e92 is

I thought they were ok, but then again I was focused on the cars.

Since when can the seats adjustable for how "hard you want the seat" I enjoyed the video but guys are kind of toolbrains

They also say the M button "changes engine power" My pet peeve for reviews is when they are inaccurate (and to me that is a big inaccuracy). I cannot fathom talking about something in my field to such a large audience and not being accurate.

The guy said "all you have to do is push this M button on the steering wheel and it'll change the engine power,....,..." lost credibility.

Atleast it was at the end of the video! Otherwise would have ruined it even more if that was early in the vid-Would have disregarded most of what he said.

The other comment that is just beyond b.s is when he said something about above 6k the sound you hear is -paraphrased-'a split in the space time continum" or something goofy like that. clearly this car is not nearly that fast to even have this come to mind!

I totally agree with the SMG/DCT comments...if my e46 had a manual I'd probably still be driving it. Once I test drove an e92 w/DCT I couldn't trade up quick enough.

Thanks for posting, it's really fun watching both cars in motion.

I know they don't sound like the smartest guys, but I liked the laid back approach they took - as well as the fact that both generations of M were in 1 video. It was definitely a relief from the "magazine" videos that are basically reading off a press release from BMW.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed, I am hoping to take the leap and move from my Z06 to a M3 in the spring - not sure if I will go for an E46, which will be an even trade, or maybe the E92. I love the BMW community and the forums definitely beat corvette forum, which has basically become a vendor marketplace in all subforums

Glad you guys found the video. Pleased to hear that some of you enjoyed it, and we don't expect to please everyone.

We've been at this a while and will acknowledge that our style is not for everyone. But you hit it on the head when you said we're trying to be laid back and approachable - there are too many rolling-brochure videos out there.

Having said that....

What makes us Tools? And how are you able to comment on our intelligence?

No matter what, we do appreciate you watching.

good photography, somewhat lame comments, mostly the repetitiveness between the two of them, and haven't added anything really new... This late in the game, should have maybe added more about the maintenance costs associated with owning these used? Simply saying, we love each car isn't anything new.. 95% of people who drive an E9x M3 will love it :-)

LOL, the vid-makers called the poster out on his BS. Good for you guys, and good video.

As for not covering repair cost, I suppose they could have gone down some of the issues on the e46, but I think they hit the nail on the head with the e9x when they summed it up by saying (paraphrased) "it may be $40k used, but its maintenance/repair costs are what you'd expect for a car that cost $70k (new)".

this cannot be a good "test" as there wasn't any drifting or burnout action. How can you drive 2 M3s without doing any drifts or burnouts? That's impossible.
