+1... go drive a 2012 car with the REVISED suspension and report back. Yes, the M3 is still a little more nimble and a little better balanced but it is very, very close.

IMO, having owned both, the M3's biggest advantage is the DCT vs. the MCT and it handles heat better at the track. These advantages disappear on the street. For some, those advantages are offset by the power/torque of the 6.2L AMG engine. Similar cars with similar overall capability but with slightly different personalities... magazine bench racing FTL!!

The only thing I dont like...the rear fenders are the same as a regular C-class coupes, it doesn't get the bigger fenders of the Black-Series. Otherwise a great looking car.

Same issue I'm having... Seeing one take off at Timmayfest didn't help me.

The 6.2 is really amazing but the coupe rear quarter panels kill it for me. side by side the E92 just looks so much better. As I type this I realize i'm splitting hairs as both cars are sick and its a fortunate position to be in where we can agonize over which to put in the garage.

Thread resurrection

Sold my FBO 335i and acquired an AMG. This thread was funny, I'd like to see everyone's opinion now since the 507 has been released.

I just drove a 2014 C63 AMG 507. My review is:

1) The motor is awesome. Power everywhere, really pulls all the way up.
2) Sound is very loud. With the windows down, this was really loud. I am not sure if I would get tired of this over time. I will have to bring my wife back to drive in the car, because the noise maybe too much. I kinda have to take her with me a lot of the time....
3) The seats are very bolstered, my 21 year old son said they were uncomfortably so.... I'll have to check that out with my wife too - seeing as she will be in there.
4) old technology for COMMAND, and interfaces to phones and such... not sure about that. Not sure if you can hook your ipod to it - will need to validate that too.... all the new cars now make this look old inside.
5) Traction light did come on when applying throttle coming out of a corner - too soon in my opinion and this took some confidence away. I don't think I have that in my modded 335. Straight line, I let it rip, and a bit of traction control, but then it hooked up and I ran through 3 gears to red line. It was phenomenally fast.... but REALLY loud. I think I would really piss off my neighbours.
6) Mileage - I was on a test drive, granted, but I was showing 19l/100 on the drive (Result: 12.38 MPG) Admittedly this would be a bit better cause I wouldn't be driving like a knob all the time, but the car itself promotes a very heavy foot.
7) steering is very, very nice. Direct.... lots of feel. Turn in is very nice.
8) The brakes were phenomenally good. Really strong, and right there....
9) the car itself feels really good, really powerful, beautiful to drive.... you felt like a man driving the car.

I would worry about the traction, losing the back end all the time I think, and the mileage would be a problem.

I am not sure larger rears would make that much of a difference.
