The most hate I got in my M3 is at a Wholefood parking lot, some girl in an older Prius called me a-hole for driving a wasteful BMW that produces too much greenhouse gas. Told her to f off and she give me a finger, that's it.

Daily driving, no. I don't drive like an a-hole but if I am not the extra respectful type and if I see shitty drivers blocking the road or something I honk at them, and I get honked back sometimes.

I do remember some asshole following me in his Mercedes after he stopped right in middle of the road no blinkers no obvious reason and I honked at him. That was back when I was driving the E53 X5, maybe 10-12 years ago. He kept on following me so I stepped on the gas and lost him after a few turns.

My biggest issue is the guy in the Mustang that tailgates the living crap out of me (like inches off the bumper) to entice me for a race. I'm scared to drive normal because if I have to tap the brakes, I've got a pony in my backseat. I keep finding myself becoming the asshole driver because I'll downshift and take off to get in a lane where he can't tailgate me. Of course this is taken as "let's race" instead of "f off!".

Other than being ignored because 99% don't know what it is, the only thing I get besides what's above is a thumbs up!

Pontiac Vibe in front of me at the light on right lane. Light turns green..cross the intersection. I move over to the left to pass him and he jumps in front of me. I just move to the right to pass him and he tries to gas it and that's when my tachometer jumps from 3K to 6K and he's in my rear view mirror. He honks and flashes me and then about 1 mile down the road when I make a right merge turn onto the intersecting road, he honks me again. Come on Pontiac...

That's a fair point. I myself am guilty of saying you can buy an E9X M3 for the price of a new Honda Accord, but for a lot of folks a $25-$35k car is by no means a "cheap" car.

It's rather opposite here. Most G35/37 sedans tend to be people hauling their families around with baby seats in the back. The coupes are the ones that are slammed with loud exhausts that want to race.

I'll second that, even I have noticed this with the G37 sedan drivers..it's like they have something to prove. The G37 however, can be really quick in a straight line. I have learned that! I'm on the east coast BTW.
