First of all, your SA is giving you the run around.

Secondly, DECLINE the car. It has been damaged and is a fact. I ordered my E90 ZCP 6MT too and it took about 2-3 days to get out of VPC. When it was out of VPC it took half a day to get to my dealership. My car arrived late at night on the previous day of my pick up. My SA made sure to prep my car as soon as the mechanics got in and finished within 2 hours.

As far as I know isnt both the front splitters and the rear spoiler from bmw performance held on by double sided tape? It shouldn't take more than a few hours to do.. A day if they're really lazy about it.

Either intercept another M3 that is new while sacrificing a option or two or re-order. You don't want a new car that has been resprayed. Even if its resprayed by BMW VPC...

If you don't mind driving to Los Angeles area then I can give you contact info on the SA I dealt with.

You know it's Stevens Creek. I would expect this kind of thing to happen when they're involved.

It wasn't a euro delivery. I've yet to ever see the car, never mind drive it.

I'm not going to decline the car if it was really just a scratch. I've waited too long for this car. And I won't go another 2 months because I need a second car now. I'm supposed to be picking up my son from school daily and running other errands. Being without a second car has been a huge inconvenience to our family (at least as of late).

BMW doesn't tape spoilers. They use the same glue that the stock spoiler has. I'll be sure to ask for any records of what happened to the car before delivery. If it was more than a scratch, then I'll have to reconsider my options.

The main reason I jumped on the M3 was because of the 1.9% financing. That's now over and if I order another car, there's a chance I won't get that. I probably won't buy the car without that kind of apr. I really wish there was a good alternative to the M3. I've really thought about my options and there's really no other car that I want. I have absolutely no interest in the IS-F, C63, or anything Audi has in that price range. The Cayman S or an Exige would be high on my list, but I need back seats for my son. So in the end I really hope this car works out. My only other option is to hope that someone ordered a similar car recently and backed out of the deal.

Have your dealer talk to someone at BMWFS and explain the situation and how you want the 1.90%... That you should have received your cars ages ago, and the delay is because of their fault and their damage to your car. I'm SURE they will be able to help you, especially if it makes a difference between losing the sale or not.

I recall reading some posts were dealers offered loaners to their customers in similar situations. Ask your SA if he can provide you with one as you wait for your car to arrive.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal, however, once you take her for the first spin all will be forgotten soon thereafter

Hang in there

Had another source do some poking around and found out my car was released from vpc again yesterday. My SA called the trucking company this morning and they said they are waiting for 2 more cars before the drive to norcal. So the earliest is tomorrow, but could take longer. I'm pretty much expecting more bad news at this point. Don't want to get my hopes up until the car is at the dealership.

Not sure about BMW, but I was going to order my last car (Ford) and they said if I do I can take the financing/rebate deal they had when i ordered. Or if its a better deal when the car was delivered I could take that deal instead, I just assumed it was like that when you order any car if you sign papers, I dont order cars so I dont know for sure.

Yea I should still get the financing deal on this car. I'm just not sure I'd get it if I had to order again.

Looks like I'm finally taking delivery today! I'll be sure to check the car very carefully and ask to see any records of what happened at PDC.

My salesman snapped a photo for me as the truck arrived today:

Congrats man!
My dealer hasn't even bothered to contact me in 3 days. They said last week, when they finally copped to it being damaged, that it'd be here sometime this week...
Tomorrow is Friday

The 2011 IS-F is much improved in the handling dept compared to the 2008. It is a viable alternative to an e90 dct.
