Nice wheels and these are OG. No print on the inner lips at all. I personally would keep this set. Best color aside from black or bronze in the TE37 platform.

Bump..

Regular TE-37 are forged wheels as oppose to cast for TE-37 SL. One is significantly harder to bend compared to the other wheel. It's important to me because I track my car. Price and availability? Regular TE-37 are price a little bit more but not much and are harder to come by.

TE37SL are not cast. They are still forged.

For the longest time I thought they were sports casting... Or like the old SSR Semi forged. Both are great wheels really but I see a lot of folks not liking the SL because some think they are not fully forged.

"These are a forged one piece aluminium wheel. They are made from the finest aircraft grade 6061 aluminium. The wheels are made by a process called hot forging. A solid piece of aluminium billet is heated and is shaped applying compressive force from a press."

With this in mind Volk TE37 SLs are 15% cheaper than original TE37s or $200-$300 cheaper per wheel.

^^Even if they're cheaper, they're still newer. I'd rather get SLs all day cause you don't know what a wheel has been through. So even if the OG TEs cost more, or are more rare, they're older regardless. SLs hold value just as much as regular TEs. Everything is subjective, it's everyones opinion vs everyone else.

HAHA incorrect. Even though the TE37 has been out since 1996, some of us have 2011-2013 made/manufactured wheels.

In Japan and even through Mackin Industries they will tell you that retail for original TE37s will be more for a 2013 model than a 2013 TE37 SL model.

I dont care either way but I kind of like having the centercap option for daily driving while track junkies prefer the slightly lighter SL.

Bump for OP.

thanks for all the bumps guys. I really thought that SL's are not fully forged. I could be wrong. none the less TE37's look great! These are pretty hard to come by IMO.

just to clear the confusion TE SL's are in fact forged. The main difference between regular TE's and TE SL's is the weight. The SL's are lighter
