2007 E92 335i to 2008 E90 M3
I just assumed a 2008 E90 M3 from another forum member, and I couldnt be happier. After coming from a JB3 tuned 335i, the threads about the low end torque were catching my attention. I am glad to report that I am another person who disagrees with these concerns. It might not have the instant full on torque pull in any gear that the 335i had, but that is not what it was designed to do. There is plenty of passing strength in any gear at nearly any speed, and the constant building of power to the red line is amazing. Everything else about the driving experience eclipses the 335i in anyway. People who pick the 335i over this are clearly only concerned with straight line potential.
This is an amazing car, and after only 400 miles, I know I made the right choice. Here is a crappy phone picture from the delivery:

This is such a smart move - from an awesome family car to a real performance car!!

Yea I just got a a 2010 E92 335i as a daily driver as I put 22K miles on my M3 in a year and I constantly drive it and my M3 back to back and there's no comparisson, but I love the easy speed of the 335.

Yeah baby.
Coming from an 07 335i with all the iterations of JB... and agree with everything you've said. You're just a lot braver than I what with that brilliant red color. |
