WTF, Wow Mod Bargains...THANKS A LOT. Irate customer.
So, Ordered a New K&N Filter for my M3 from Mod Bargains. It was only $10 cheaper than going to Advance or O'Reileys (with shipping). Should have stuck to my gut and paid the extra $10. But I figured, what the heck, support a vendor on the forums. I just got the filter literally 10 minutes ago, and I've emailed them now, but I'm so pissed off I have to vent. I've ordered dozens of K&Ns throughout the years and know how they are packaged.
Ugh. Looks like they sent me either a used, or improperly installed filter. I know K&N's quality isn't this shitty. This is a horrific oversight- I mean who wouldn't complain about this? If I was ordering a used filter, I would have expected this- but wouldn't have paid new price. |

Horrible, that sucks! I think you are justifiably pissed off. You shouldn't even have to go through trouble of sending that POS back. They should just send you new one.
I did order wheels from them in past and will say that they arrived in perfect condition. |

I've ordered from them in years past as well, and had pretty good luck. The person who approved this to be shipped should be reprimanded.

. . . . . . Honestly it looks like it was installed once or twice and it was returned with no damage and sent to you as new. I have seen it from other vendors. Sad but it happens. |

ummm, you gave them 10 minutes to respond, then you posted your vent...they didn't even have a chance to resolve the issue. From what I've observed with some vendors for various items, sometimes, they don't even work their own inventory. It's filled by someone off-site. Not saying that's the case here, and regardless of what the inventory management situation is there, this shows a lack of quality control @ the vendor, but still, let them make you whole first before venting this to their other customers.

After seeing my friends CSL trunk and CSL rear diffuser from them i'm not shocked by anything ordered thru that place. Of all the items though, a f'd up air filter?? at least give them a chance to fix it.

Mod bargains are good guys to deal w !! I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them and they are always responsive and answer all my questions.
Sounds like your over reacting over what 80 bucks ? Try chatting to them online or calling them ! Stop bashing them prematurely like you do your girlfriend |

OP should had waited before bashing the vendor. 10 min wait is not a long time and you should have given them a chance first. You vented before the vendor had an opportunity to clear the problem.

Bash me all you want, but this thing should have never left in a shipment. Someone should have looked at this and said "gee, this probably shouldn't be sold as new or perhaps even at all"
And I'll be the first to apologize and post as such when/if/how they fix the issue. |
