RS Technik wheel spacers+ PYSpeed review

Wanted to give a quick review on RS Technik spacers I bought and installed last week. Kind of have been toying around with the idea of getting spacers to give it that bulldog stance (think 1M). Getting OEM ZCP's helped, because they stick out further than my original 220M's, but I knew it was a matter of time before I wanted to get it right.

I saw the GB thread by PYSpeed and contacted Ivan about a set of 12mm's all the way around, with extended lug nuts. He gave me a great price and I told him I'd go for it. Got home, put in the order and within 7 minutes (yes you read that right), I got an email saying the items shipped! Impressive! The spacers shipped from Cali to SC in only 2 days! Needless to say, I was very happy with their service, and would definitely buy from them again.

Install was very straightforward. I thought I might struggle trying to put the rears back on, but didn't have any problem. No change in performance at all, but the looks is so much better. The 12mm spacers are pretty mild, but they do have an effect on the aesthetics of the car. Plus I want to go 255/275 PSS next time around. IMO, 12mm was perfect for me. On to the pics:

I know these aren't the best pics, but it's pouring now and this was the best I could do. Plus there are a ton of reference pics in other threads:

I'd like to think I'm winning the battle against the mod bug, but obviously, that's not the case. Thanks again Ivan!!

Looking at the pics now, the rear is pretty accurate, the front looks a bit more aggressive than the pics show. I'll get full frontal shots when it stop raining outside in a few days.

Looks better buddy.

I used spacers on my MKV jetta; it transformed the car's look 10 times. That's why I didn't hesitate on getting spacers on my E90 M3.

Some pics from this morning. Kind of shows you the whole side of the car better. Very happy with the results.

And a bonus shot of the car in the fog this morning

Yea I've got a pretty dark theme going on between S.Graph and CF, so I wanted to keep the chrome to get a little contrast.

nice...has 12.5mm spacers all around when I had the oem wheels and tires on..recenetly bumped up the tire size to 255/35, 275/35 (hankook v12's)and was rubbing in the rears with full cmpression.steep driveways...took the rears off and have 10mm spacers on the way...hoping that pushes me flush without rubbing...if and when you upsize your tires, hope the 12mm rears work for you...as reports vary from car to car along with tire brands..

Yea I've heard the Hankooks will rub, but people have gone 15mm spacers in the rear AND 275 with PSS's and have been fine. I think I've decided on sticking to 265's in the rear because going 275's increases the weight by a giant 12%. There's a thread about that in the Tires+Wheels section.

I hear what your saying and believe your interior gives that third color of contrast which I love. Two color exterior theme and the buttery soft different color interior. A simple DIY id you ever wanted to try a new look would be to leave the surrounds chrome and paint the slats gloss or matte black. It would look like the F30 in your signature picture.

I PM'ed you a question on the tune I was thinking of thins morning on the way to work.

I'm thinking of doing 15mm all around with the 220m. Yet everyone keeps telling me to do 15/12 instead.
I'm on stock suspension and I'm not sure how it'll look with 15mm in the rear

15mm will fit in the rear no problem with 220M's. It'll look pretty much flush to the quarter panel.
