It feels good to know that you were actually motivated enough to specifically search out my posts. I have made a difference today.

If something is wrong with the car - where do you then go?
You cant just drive to the dealer. Can you take it to any BMW dealer in the area you live in and still get the same service?

You've got to put those dealer plates and frame on eBay....

I've been watching this thread all along, but never created an account till now. I am really excited to see all this come to an end peacefully, well sorta. Car looks great, well as far as I can tell Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as you probably will. Congrats with the car
I'm looking at purchasing one in the future, now just isn't the best time for me.

Ken just drove off into the sunset in his Jerez/Fox M3/4. He arrived even before I called him, and as you might imagine he was more than a little excited. The car wasn't even out of detail but I brought him back there anyway to take a quick look. He mentioned how the Fox Red wasn't really red, and how it reminded him of the E46's Cinnamon. I nodded in agreement.

We had some time to kill so we took out the M3 demo. Ken said he felt like he was taking his driver's test for the first time, and by the way he drove a manual it felt that way too His last BMW was an E39 525i, so I could imagine what a huge leap this was for him. We went around the block twice and I can confidently say it was the most sedate M3 test drive I'd ever been on.

When we got back his car was ready, and as he approached it for the second time I heard him whisper reverently, "Oh wow." We took several pictures, but he didn't even want a demonstration of iDrive, or much of anything else. I can't say that I blame him--he was totally in the moment and it was a very good thing to see.

Before he drove off I reminded that this car, unlike his last one, does require a break-in service at 1200 miles. He cooly looked at his watch, then looked back at me and said, "Can you schedule an appointment for Monday?"

Congrats Ken!
