Lime Rock Park - Season Opener

Just came back from an semi open track day at the Park for someone's b-day, and it doubled as my season opener.

Track
Amazing track when it's not over crowded, just astounding. I've never experienced it before without multiple trains since the track is tiny. For those who have gone, what do you think a stock M3 should be lapping at the Park?

Car Feedback
Everyone here was right, this car in comp. pk. form is pretty decent on the track. I was expecting a lot less composure coming from a modded car last season. There was a bit more side-to-side swaying naturally, but it was in such smooth concert with the rest of the car - felt very natural and not scary or nervous. Even the PS2s were fine - the cool weather helped I'm sure. Can't wait to get on AD08s though, sure it will be better.

Since when NASA runs HPDE groups with letters?

I was there too, good day today. Groups were nicely spaced apart despite a packed paddock. This looks better in google photos:

Did you bail on NJMP a couple of weekends ago due to weather?

Glad you had a good time at LRP. It's definitely a downer when there's too much traffic.

Typical for me at Lime Rock is 1:04s-1:05s. Best I've done is in the 1:03s.

Hey bro, yup, bailed that weekend. It was showery, 35ish (feeling 27). Even without the precipitation, tires wouldn't even warm up enough to stick properly.

As for lap times at LRP, I'm pleasantly surprised then based on your feedback. I was hitting up 1:05s and definitely know I was over slowing at the hairpin (turn 1) and I really should not tap brake on the right hander up the hill (but I still did . After the first half hour, I did stop breaking on west bend and the last turn onto the straight

I run 1.04s too. Can't break em, yet. I think my prob is later breaking. Something to work on..
Hoping my camber plates help. I'll install them before the next event there on 4/20. Anyone going?

Mid corner fun, got my car in that pic. 24, tho a black 2 makes me look like 4. Lol

See your from CT, but your car had the NY plates right? Or were you another JB M3? I only saw one. I think there was a white M3 as well at some point. If you were running 1:04s you probably should of been in Group A!

Jet black with ct plates.
I need to run advanced.. The group is hit or miss. There can be fast cars, and then beginners who sneak in. Next time!
Hope to see you guys out on 4/20. Let me know who's around!

I think I know what's happening, you were at the track day with SCDA from 9am - 12pm right? I wasn't.

I was referring to the nasa event on Sat. Since leo mentioned he saw his car in my pic I'm assuming he was attending the same event :-) which event did you attend?

Yea, me and leo figured it out on the side. I was at a private event on Friday, that's why I didn't see any of your guys. I was like "how could I miss these Ms in such a small group of people..."

LRP rocks, hope to be back again soon!
