▀▄ eas | bubu's 2013 SSII ESS VT2-625 M3 Hits the streets!

Fresh in the US from EU delivery, forum member bubu's 2013 SSII M3 wasted no time getting it's new ESS VT2-625 Supercharger installed underneath it's hood.

Performance
A longtime customer of ours, bubu is no stranger to the supercharging world. His previous M3 (6MT) was originally equipped with ESS's VT1-535 supercharger, also producing very strong numbers. With the thirst for more power and switching over to DCT, we are presented with the following build in very short time.

Strapped to the dyno for its baseline run, bubu's M3 pulled a healthy 363whp/265lb-ft TQ. Like with most MY13s coming in the shop, we verified the DME's software version to be already at 240E. Shortly after bolting on the ESS VT2-625 system, the new numbers jumped to 551whp/368lb-ft TQ, showing a whopping 188whp gain!

These are excellent numbers for 100% stock exhaust and 91 octane fuel. Adaptation, exhaust (removing those restrictive catalytic converters) and higher octane fuel can only expect even better performance.

Suspension
During supercharger installation, a set of ZCP springs were also fitted for a minimal drop - retaining the OEM look and feel.

Exterior
A set of OEM Edition Kidney Grilles and Fender gills were added, providing a nice match the overall window trim. Prepainted SSII reflectors will be added soon.

Wheels
Wheels were a special item. Having a strong relation with Work Wheels, we fitted their newest offering: Emotion CS Ultimate in GT Silver finish.

Wheels are 19x9.5 up front with 19x10.5 in rear with Work centercaps, wrapped in Yokohama 265/30-19 & 295/30-19 tires making an overall package that doesn't beg for attention, but instead - commands respect.

With only ~1500mi on the clock in present form, one can assure there will be and ear-to-ear grin every time the engine is started, for much more miles to come. If you should see this M3 rapidly approaching in your rearview mirror, kindly pull over to the right.

Bubu, enjoy your newfound power. In the meantime, we'll have a replacement set of rear tires on standby.

Enjoy!

Those wheels look fantastic, they work really well. This is just my kind of car. Looks pretty stock from the outside, all business under the hood. Congrats on the new car!

Tom, thank you for the awesome write-up & professional pictures!

The car turned out exactly how I expected. The wheels will put a grin on my face every time I see them...or think about them

1st gear is nice and smooth, zero traction, no forward movement
2nd gear is nice and smooth 2% traction, moving at snail pace forward
3rd gear car is doing the funky chikkin dance across 3 lanes pucker factor 12
