Back from my road trip!!
Well, I just pulled into town from the long drive home with my brand new M3!!! It was an adventurous journey and I couldn't have been in a better car for the ride! I have absolutely no regrets. I'm really tired so the write up will have to come later, but here are a couple of pics for now.
Side note: If anybody knows a good detailer around LA hit me up. I definitely need one! Haha. |

Wow, I would not have been happy driving through the snow and salt covered roads. How did the M3 do on summer tires in the snow?
Congrats, on the new ride.

Haha, the tires were absolutely horrible in the snow!! I had to watch every move I made. The conditions were actually pretty bad. The snow pic was when I drove through Flagstaff, Arizona. And it was taken about an hour before an 80 car pile-up occured!!!! Over the last 2 days my brand new M3 experienced rain in New Mexico, snow in Arizona, and sand storms in California. It's happily sleeping in the garage now though. lol

congrats. Awesome car and good to see you had a safe trip. I was wondering when you were going to post about your ultimate road trip. How did the clear bra hold up? How many more miles until break in?

Thanks for the compliments guys! Yep, the girlfriend came along for the ride. It was actually a lot of fun! I haven't had a chance to fully inspect the clear bra area yet, but it seemed to have done a good job. I believe I'm now at 900 miles, so only 300 more till break in!!!!! I'd like to echo a statement I heard from Xcellere though; this car definitely has power on tap at any point in the revs. Even at just half throttle, 6th gear pulled pretty hard and passing cars was effortless. The steering felt very connected and it gives you a great sense of confidence. Haha, even after driving for 2 days straight, I couldn't wait to get home and take her out for a cruise around town. I just love driving this car!

Great drive! Did you pick up the M3 from out of state? Or just happens that you needed to go on a roadtrip after you got your M3? This is ED but West Coast style haha

My last car was a boxster S, but I have been driving an e90 330i for the last year or so. The v8 is soo much different. There is so much power on tap whenever you want it. |
