Congrats...

Your dealer should have given you a complimentary set of OEM mats... or simply, not.

On the Interior

1. Car looked great, the platinum is similar to the 7 individual platinum but felt little bit softer.
2. The piano black has etched trim on the inside unlike the 7 series which has a piano string
3. iDrive screen is smaller, but kind of like it more than the 7

Here are some photos, not good at taking photos. Will post more photos of the interior once I get the tint done and get the floor mats. The leather the M3 is lot softer than the 7 individual leather. As already mentioned white is a pain to maintain, but worth it.

Long wait, but looks very nice. Like my JB, may take extra care keeping it clean, but when it is, it is stunning. Would have killed for that piano black trim.

Thanks, taking it to the detailer next week to do a clay and a full shine gloss treatment. Will probably get the tint done first, before the detail. Want to wait for the mats to come in from the dealer before doing the full detail.

If was to do it again, I will go all out on the individual options, including outside paint, black trim pieces in the seats, contrast stitching, individual mats, M etched piano trim.

Azuritschwarz (azuriteblack individual) with Amarone individual and some extra's like mark's car the center piece in leather with the ashtray and gaiter for shiftknob and handbrake, floormats with Amarone piping.

Was thinking of the etched ///M logo but for an extra of 870€ exlusive tax found it a bit to pricy for what it is the same with the contrast stitching was 1780€ and coulours are white, red, blue, black for what it's worth found it a bit over the hill.

The only option i didn't take from the list is TV since here in belgium u only can recieve 2 channels so why would i want it for 1250€ i think more.

Hope the individual sound systems works really good, u have it also i have seen are u happy or extremely happy with it?

I love to listen to music rather very loud (with top up) in my car that's why i took the option.

The build for an individual takes 2 à 3 weeks longer so that's why i'm hoping it will be worth it.

Grtz,

Hendrick

Wow , your car will be one awesome looking machine. Can't wait to see photos of your car.

Sound system : Sounded like shit when I first used it but it seems to be getting better. Probably need to finish the 100 hr breakin. Also the EQ's have to be played with to the get the optimal sound. I feel the sound system has potential after breakin. With the top down the engine sound is just awesome. That made me think about the BMW performance exhaust. If you still can I would suggest you add that unless you are going to get an after market one.

Thx, hope that it will be as good as I hope it's going to be

Will do when it arrives.

Good to know that the sound system has to be played with.

Seen a thread here that has info about the way u need to play with EQ if u haven't seen it allready i can post u the link if u like.

It's based on sound quality so if that is what u are looking after...

Think of placing the akra evolution exhaust if it's possible to equip it with other tips because I find the standard ones Jap-stylisch

And if it's a no go i'll take the performance exhaust but I think it will not be possible to change it during production.

Cheers,

Hendrick

ps wish u a lot of fun during break'in period.

Performance exhaust is an accessory, you can add it in even during production I think. They usually install it at the VPC for us in the states. After seeing all the reviews on the BMW performance exhaust I am sold on it. Going to place an order for one in the next few days, the dealer in Dallas said it would take an hour to install it , so not bad.

Here in belgium it will be the dealer himself who has to install the performance exhaust but u still have one large muffler on the back instead of 2 muffler's if u take a Hamann or Akra or...

Still if u hear it in person that could change my mind since the sound (rasp) is said to be like the E46 M3 and i liked the sound of my previous car found it something special instead of a deep drone u get with an eisenmann or so.

I love to hear the akra in person before I buy one it's still a huge amount that has to be payed for it and other exhaust tips would cost also something more...

When u get your exhaust let us know what u think about it

I have tried the following 250 GB hard-drive and it works without any problems so far, going to fill it up and see what happens. It is cheaper than getting a 128GB or 256GB USB Flash drive

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136417

They are out of the 250GB now only have the 320GB, this should also work , might take a little extra time during startup than the 250GB. The 500GB in this series also works but takes a long time to start playing the music. 250GB takes about 7-8 seconds.

Amazing what a different color can do to an interior. Looks well worth the price!

Technic,

I am placing an order for an E90 M3 with Individual Piano and was told by BMWNA that you cannot order ZP2 with Piano. Is there anyway around this? Thanks!

Unless something changed after 03/11, you certainly can: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...&postcount=192

I was offered Piano Black with my build (and the Black chrome grills, gills, wheels and exhaust tips), but I'm ordering Individual Rust Brown. So I do not know if you have to order an Individual interior or exterior and then Piano Black is available to order.
