I sure hope BMW didn't block these parts, I've been waiting on mine.

Thank you for the pic Evan.
Thanks for clarifying this - made some enquieries today - just waiting on a price here in Germany

Did the same on 21 May, and received them 26 May. You're looking at 40.69euro ea for grills and 83.10euro ea for gills from the German BMW dealership. Also got the euro mirrors in at the same time (221.05euro ea).

Prepping the gills for the E90 chassis:

Thanks for the prices Shawrf1 - how difficult did you find the install? did you break any tabs or damage the paint? Any tips would be appreciated and post up some pics of the results

I placed an order for these from tischer on May 24. Here is the latest status update:

05/27/10 6:46 AM - **UPDATE** Part #s 51137979349,51137979350,51137979352,51137979351 (Grills and Exhaust Tips ) are currently on national backorder from BMW. Typical backordered items arrive to our facility in 2 - 3 weeks from Germany. We'll process and ship your order once all parts are in stock (unless otherwise requested). No charges will be made to your card until the order is complete/shipping out. Please periodically check your order status for future updates. Thank you for your patience and support! -getBMWparts.com

doesn't look like I'll be getting them, or anyone else in the US for that matter, if it's true that BMW isn't shipping euro parts to US.

I got them a couple of weeks ago from Tischer, but I placed the order the day i saw a posting that they are available. They are nice parts, and I am glad OEM...

Well the parts are probably a 7 out of 10 difficulty to install all because u need to know what u are doing so u don't chip the car paint on the side grilles Also thefront ones are all clips make sure u disengage them before trying to take out the piece or u will break it

Wasn't too difficult - just know that you have to use quite a bit of force to get the trailing edge out, even with trim puller tools. Once that's done, you'll have to use pull out towards you firmly to get the rest of the tabs to disconnect... paint fared pretty well, using trim tools.

Does anyone know if the exhaust tips will fit on an 08 E92 328i? I'm not sure of the dimensions on the M3 tailpipes vs the 328i. Thanks in advance.

Went to my local dealer today and they said there is a national freeze on them.

Got this response from Evan @ Tischer:
"No idea if BMW is going to fill the numerous backorders we have open for them...we hope so. You are welcome to order as we wont actually charge your card until we get them and ship 'em out to you....so if BMW decides to shut us off from them, no worries if we have to cancel."

Not looking good for imports - may need to rely on fellow forum members to help us out stateside.

F*** BMW if they freeze these! They are freaking gills/grills, not a drive train part... We can get get non-OEM stuff like this in any color we want.

Anyone in Germany want to hook us up?

IND should be able to get this if Tischer can't, but ask them first. They will be more expensive than Tischer.

Cheers.

*UPDATE*

As of right now, we can not order any more of these....we hope this is just temporary........however we still haven't heard if BMW is going to fill the numerous orders we have open for these. We have received some, and filled all orders we could in the order they came through....but we do have a lot still waiting on the parts. We'll update again when we hear more.

No idea why these, of all things, would be blocked.

I wish you guys could still get them. Shipping for us direct from Germany cost an arm and leg

getting them from germany definitely hits you hard on shipping.

Willing to help, but I don't even know if my local BMW dealership will entertain this! I can look into what shipping would cost for these parts from our APO to CONUS as well... should be much cheaper than direct ship from Deutsche Post. Rob

That would be huge. If you check with your dealer I'd be in for sure.

I will buy grills if you can pm me a shipping price. The Euro is cheap now, so it shouldn't be bad.

Otherwise I can just call the dealer direct.
