I will need to see dyno charts before I can agree with this..

I have similar doubts on these claims. I don't think 40hp out of the engine is possible on tune alone. Probably involves 93+ octane or mix of race fuel.

But seriously BMW tunes the car to last long, not for F1 use lol, they've gotta keep all the customers happy somehow.

I previously had Powerchip Stage II (+25HP) and Akrapovic Exhaust (+20-25HP) and my new current state is Powerchip Stage III (+45HP) with OEM exhaust (note I have other modifications which are identical in both cases - air filter, crank pulley and air scoops). The car with Stage III + OEM exhaust definitely "feels" as fast as the previous car with Stage II + Akrapovic. It doesn't feel as it has as much low-mid RPM torque, but high RPM power definitely feels just as fast. I will be on a MAHA dyno on Wednesday (unfortunately I never did a stock dyno on the MAHA dyno as I only just found one is available where I live) to perform a baseline, as I will be installing Turner test pipes (primary cat delete) near the end of April. |

I got just over 360WHP today on a MAHA dyno. Unfortunately something wasn't right with the settings and at redline the dyno was calculating RPMs around 7700RPM so the calculated power from the dyno was out (so the dyno was saying the car was making around 330WHP). We assumed 7700RPM = 8300RPM which gave a figure of just over 360WHP with the car making 230lbft of torque at the wheels at redline
I am awaiting the data files and will post up the numbers... Of course without the stock dyno I can't say exactly what the gains are but MAHA dynos are known to read very low and the absolute figures are similar to what Powerchip Australia saw (around 320WHP vs 360WHP on Dyno Dynamics). |

I'm talking about a tunes from BMW in Germany, that changes all the restrictions..It's not a "tune" from a third party venter, It's the people who built the engine, re-mapping everything.
