M3s from Classic BMW in Dallas

I just got back from my local dealer. They had 1 coupe and 1 sedan. The sedan is already sold and being picked up tomorrow. The coupe is their demo car and will not be sold. I never thought I would say this but the red is absolutely beautiful in the sunlight. I hated every picture I saw of it but it is really a great color outside. The tan interior is def. not for me. The cars lines are just stunning in person. I was able to start the engine and it was def. different than I expected. Coming from a UUC TSE on my current e46 I for some reason was expecting a loud v8 roar when started. What I actually heard was a nice district BMW engine with the slight high pitch startup and not much exhaust noise on rev. I wasn't able to drive it so I am sure it sounds different in motion. My main reason for going to the car was to hear the sound system. I currently do not have the enhanced premium sound on order but that will be changing. The quality of sound compared to my base sound system in my 325 is a night and day difference. The sound has such an amazing base and highs.
Next, he showed me the sedan which was in Silverstone II. I am surprised how much I did not like this color. It could have just been the lighting but there was way too much light blue in it for me. I am sure some will love it but this was not for me. I am still very glad about my choice on Space Gray. The sedan like some others have said is a beast. I honestly love the look of it and almost want to consider changing my order to one. I typically hate the look of the sedans, but in person the lines look fantastic. I can see the sedans being a BIG hit once these get out more.

Anyways I gotta get back to work. I took way too long of a lunch break to go look at these. Sorry about the bad grammar and my horrible photo skills.
P.S. I do have these photos in much large resolution is anyone wants them emailed to them.

Thanks for the post. How did you think the FR looked on the SSII sedan?

I was not able to sit inside b/c it was sold already. Like I said before the SSII was not my favorite but the FR actually went pretty well with the SSII. The FR leather in person was actually much darker and closer to a brick red than I was expecting. (It was in the shade so this could change out in the sun I guess)

I forgot to say, I really really loved the fell of the leather. It was extremely soft and the seats felt very comfortable.

The worst part of this whole trip was that my dealer told me I was the first DCT order they had but that I was still status 111......

Heh, this thread is my thread on the main forums except with pics. The SSII looked almost like TiAg in my dealer's lights. MR definitely has some orange to it. FR is definitely more "blah", but a very classy blah, than most of the pix on this site. It really is Brick Red.

Yep, I saw it today too at Classic BMW. I was there in the afternoon & they had it parked upfront on the driveway. After seeing Melbourne red metallic in person, I'm glad I chose that color...it's so effing HAWT in person (cf leather trim as well)! Melbourne red metallic w/a cf roof's gonna look crazy. Too bad this one on display had a sunroof.

Seeing the sedan in person reaffirmed what I thought about it based on pics...it looks butt-ugly due to the rear (pun-intended). I couldn't live w/seeing that rear-end everytime I walk in the garage. If I was in the market for a sports sedan (in this category/segment) then I would pick either the C63 or IS-F over the the e90 M3 any day & all day but that's just my humble opinion.

My order consist of DKG & 19's yet I'm still status 111 as well. What's jacked up w/BMW NA is that last week (Monday, 2-25-08) I was told I have a week 11 build (next week I think) BUT when I called BMW's 800# today, they changed it to week 19. The GM confirmed this as well. Boo to BMW NA!!!

guess I wont post my pics then, haha, same cars/ I drove the coupe, WOW.
anyone kidding themselves thinking that the 335 is jsut as good, needs to rethink.
although I took it easy in the car, since it will be someones one day, You can still get the feel and the 335 is not where near this thing.
my deal is sealed for sure.
and the sedan looks tits. anyone that says the sedan is ugly needs to go see it in person.

That was the time I spent wandering the back lot of my dealer looking for the secret, not-on-any-lists-and-not-for-sale-thanks-for-asking MR coupe.

Thanks for the post. I went by there a few minutes ago and looked at the E90 through the glass. The MR coupe was nowhere to be seen. I'll swing by tomorrow while they're open and get a look at the coupe.

FWIW, the SA told me no test drives even for buyers that have put down deposits & placed an order (boo!). He also said they're going to display the coupe for 3 weeks & then let it become available for sale. What I don't get is, why even call it a "demo car" if potential buyers can't test drive it?

And yes, Melbourne red metallic in the sunlight is tits!

If you really wanna see it asap then you should go see it now. You can see the sedan through the window but from what another poster said, the coupe isn't at the front anymore.

read my post above.
I drove the car at classic. I also drove the one at Abahn.
I am buying one so they can left me drive it or I don't buyit.

Classic GM really did not want anyone driving it and they said they are going to be selective on who drives it. If you are not buying one you arent driving it. if you are I am sure you can drive it. let me see if I can load my pics onto here for ya.
