Just pull it. There is no stress on the mechanism. It's designed to ratchet. But if it makes you feel better, do it your way.

I use the button as sort of a mini drum and tap out the percussion track to whatever is the most popular Lady Gaga song at the moment. Not only does this allow me to achieve a chorus of applause from the many spiders and bugs that crawl into the car from my garage overnight when I leave the top down, but I feel like this is what is best for the brake lever assembly.

I highly recommend it.

Hands down the dumbest M3 question is: "should I wait for 20xx or get a MY 20xx now."

Just pull it up, it was designed that way. I don't think it will break for the life of your car.

The concept
The M dual clutch transmission with Drivelogic

clutches and a partial transmission in which an
electro-hydraulic system takes over clutch
action and shifting.

Regardless...

This is incorrect. Even the manual says you need to use the parking brake with the DCT. It also takes a lot of stress of off the transmission. Not transmission, auto, manual, or automated manual, is designed to be parked without the brake being used.

I think with this statement you now have 2 qualifiers for top 10 dumb questions / statements

I didn't know a car could slide in neutral, I thought they only could roll

I can't believe that this question got more than one serious response
