Not many people have the balls to drive around europe. Can't wait for my trip next year.

If you are not buying off the lot and ordering a new BMW to your specifications, you must be bound by annoying circumstance(s) or exceptionally shortsighted to skip Euro Delivery.
They pay you to do it!

I remember when I was a student. I didn't have the money for a M3 back then but if I did, I did have time off from school. Part of summer, spring break, Christmas break, etc... You would plan it around that time.

We wanted to do the ED, but we had just gotten back from 3 weeks in Europe and the car purchase was somewhat a last minute decision. Taking off another week so close to the last vacation was just out of the question along with the expense of another European trip the same year. I just look forward to the car getting done and getting here ASAP.

I lived in Germany and bought my car there, so I guess I got my own special ED at my local BMW dealership in Bavaria
Nothing like the Welt ED that you all get, but still nice. Oh, and then I spent my last four months killing it on A6 and A7

I do not believe it has anything to do with being afraid to drive in Europe or being intimidated about overseas travel, maybe for some, but not most. I would hazard a guess and say that most of the people who own a BMW, especially any M series car, have a valid passport.
I think what afflicts most Americans is not having the time to do it. I would absolutely love to do it someday, but where I am at in my career (see my handle) I just don't have the time. |

But that's the thing Doc. You can literally do it just for the savings and not drive the car around Europe. Fly in on a Saturday morning, take delivery of your car and jump on a plane right back. You just saved 10K. I stayed two weeks. I understand not everyone can take that time off. Lucky for me, HSBC makes me take off a consecutive two weeks, my core leave. But if I didnt have the time, I'd still do it to save the money over a weekend.

Give it a rest. Most of us can do the math on ED. Just because you did ED, doesn't mean all of us must to justify our decision. My M3 is, after all, a car, not a religion.

Many of us travel to Europe frequently for work and pleasure. Personally I make the trip at least twice a year. The idea of doing ED simply doesn't have the appeal of a "once in a lifetime opportunity"... If I want to go drive around Germany and the surrounding countries, I simply do it.

Ok. I'll give it a rest. Wasn't trying to be annoying and definitely don't need anyone here to justify my decision. LoL Was just trying to inform some of the huge saving and great tool BMW gives to us. Thought that's what the forum was about. I won't mention it again.
