GT Motoring's E92 M3 prep/road trip to 2009 BimmerFest!!
GT Motoring will be posting some detail pictures of how we getting ready for the BimmerFest 2009.
We will be driving this car to the BimmerFest(CA) from IL. I will take some good pictures from our trip too. So for those who wont be attending this show, you can watch our thread and enjoy it!! Our car is 2008 E92 M3 with every possible option except DCT. Bought it as brand new in end of Sept in 08. Current millage is around 9000, yeah I still drove alot....this car is my 2nd car and didn't drove 3 months of winter. We tinted the windows and get the V1 hardwired right after we picked it up. OH..I installed the painted side marker too!(Temporary.. ) Last week, we installed KW V3 on our car.(Finally Mod begins after the long winter!!!) V3 will be on the car until our "Challenge" coilover is ready to go. Currently it is at lowest setting(I wish it goes little lower on the front.) It seems like I am going to raise the rear little once we install the wheels. The wheels, tires, bodykit is getting installed within few days... I will keep posting up the pictures/detail info of the parts once we get updated. We are leaving from IL on April 29th(Wed) from IL. |

What is this Challenge coilover? Sounds hardcore, especially since the V3 is on just until you get it

I agree the V3's don't go low enough in the front. I got mine on last week. Little disappointed.
Please post some more info on the challenge coilovers.

GT Motoring has been working with a top level Japanese damper manufacturer and Hypercoil ( Hyperco) racing springs to develop a line of street and racing coilovers. Here is a sneak peak. Colors and specs are not final. This is mearly an R&D set pictured. stay tuned for details…. Yes it will definitely provide wider range of height adjustment, and for E9x M3, rear damper will be full aluminum. |
