My friend raves about this. But, he's also not the most financially savy person I know.

The thing I don't understand is if I need something, I am then in the market for it. But if I'm not looking to buy something, shoving it in my face with a decent price isn't going to make my buy it. Why do you guys buy stuff you don't need because of a good price? Seems like another way to accumulate crap.

Like the poster said above, he missed a TV.

If I'm in the market for a nice TV, there is no way in hell I'm buying it off Woot. You'll end up with some junk TV with poor resolution and refresh rate that some warehouse is trying to dump out of inventory.

Well, being that I don't have a tv (only a TV card in a PC) for the bedroom (which the wife tends to oppose anyway), it does not have to be 120hz (actually this particular TV WAS 1080P). It would not take much to be an improvement over the existing setup.

The WootOff actually started Tuesday morning. It has been going strong for a while so the BOC is bound to show up sometime tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

ejheverest, if you check Gearscan.com it has all of those sites deals (and bonktown and the other one) along with all of their historical deals and stuff. I have found it a very useful site when seeing what I have missed (since SAC and the others tend to cycle through things more than once)

The SAC and Backcountry.com has the absolute best customer service even when buying from their bargain sites. I sure hope you aren't talking about them!
