Advice needed in regards to H&R race springs

Can't decide if I should H&R race springs on my E90... Will have 4-6 track days with my E90 and would like to install lowering springs for better handling. Will H&R race springs will be be to harsh for everyday driving? How is it compared to stock springs? Or should I just keep my stock springs since I only be doing 4-6 track days per year?

I ended up running the sport for my car (its a DD)

I drove a buddies car that had the RACE and it was way to low for DD IMO. but like I said thats just me. Others run them just fine im sure.

I thought the sport and race both lower the same amount but race is just stiffer???

They used to be called "Sport PLUS" but are actually race. Maybe some very old style race ones were indeed lower...not too sure.

ride height is unchanged (on this model car while other H&R race are lower) and the spring rates are stiffer making the race spring setup diff.

I loved my H & R Race. Perfect for a DD

Getting springs only may make your handling worse.

I am not sure, I just know the gentleman's car I drove had the race and it was way lower then my sports. Almost night and day IMO. Maybe he had some other modifications either way I am not an expert I can just call it like I see it

Any pictures of your H&R Race? How much did the ride worsen compared to stock? Is EDC still fairly comfortable when needed?

I'm interested in people's experience on the track with H&R springs as well. Turner put the Race springs on their LRP project car with along with the swaybar and said the car turned in better and felt more planted.

I tracked a E92 M3 stock, with H&R sport plus, and with my KW CS. H&R sport plus subjectively had less body roll than stock, but otherwise handling was pretty much the same. I doubt seriously if they would improve your times at all, but it "felt" like it rolled less.

KW CS mops the floor with either option of course. The biggest difference is grip exiting corners. I can floor it way sooner than on stock suspension with properly dialed CS's. They're worth some time too

Bottom line is springs are a crappy track mod. If you want to be a little lower and eliminate fender gap, and have a tad less roll, then sure. But don't get them expecting a significant performance improvement.
