I'm 23 and Ive been single for about a year, Actually 6 months. I was with my last gf for a while and after we broke up a year ago I got into a new relationship with this other girl she was alright but I ended it because I felt like I was wasting time with the wrong person.

The Single Life sucks! I mean yes I have more money, more free time, and no one to answer too but aside from a few close friends and immediate family, no one really gives a shit about me. i just realized i am screwed being a professor track theoretical physics major.

undergrad + grad school + postdoc + physics professorship = entire life without women!

i'm 20 now which means i am 2 years past the last opportunity in my life to get girls (high school)



as an example of how bad it is, the physics building that i am working in has a single female restroom. it is located on the 3rd floor which is (not coincidentally), also the floor the secretary offices are located on. and no, these are not the hot secretaries you find in movies.

All I gotta say is, give up on looking, but dont give up on the notion that someone will come along. I say give up on looking because it usually doesn't work out that way.....they just sort of come. Whether you randomly meet someone in a classroom, office, park, or wherever, or if you get hooked up through a friend, it's usually random. But naw, I wouldn't say give up, hell it took me 2 years since my last g/f to come across another awesome one that I've been with since January now, and at times I thought that it was useless.....but it just happens.

Dude, fuck high school..........those girls were all full of drama, half were sluts, most were unreliable, and the rest were just whatever. Your 20....the beginning of some of your best years, and your prime. Your an individual who's obviously on the right track and bound for success, which girls love the older we get.

yea, i've officially decided to give up for this summer. chasing girls takes a lot of time and has a low probability of success so the expected value is too low compared to the opportunity cost.

sitting and waiting for a girl to just come into your life also has a very low probability of success, but at least its low effort.

So i just went out with this girl to the movies. Cute as fuck! Super nice and soooo damn sexy. We get a drink after the movie, I take her to her car, she tells me how she fantasized about me all day, we make out a bunch, her hands are down in my jeans, but this where her brain FINALLY kicks in. She tells me how much her boyfriend/finacee loves her, and how he tells her all the time how beautiful she is and how he is the luckiest guy alive because he has her and how she does not think she can do anything to hurt him, so I'm not getting any. At least now, in addition to blue balls, I have some respect for this girl. heh
