I think I am finally "done" with the exterior mods for the car. I pretty much have it exactly as I like it now so I thought I would share some VERY unprofessional pictures.

Specs...

2011 E92 M3 with ZCP
OEM Edition grilles and gills
Lux H8 V3
Morr VS8.2 wheels in Signature Silver
Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires
Stoptech Street Performance brake pads
Stoptech SS brake lines

This is the drive around town, take to a couple of HPDE setup. For me, it's perfect.

So, a few reviews on the new stuff:

Morr VS8.2 wheels

The quality and weight of the Morr wheels is simply great. They are very noticeably lighter than the OEM ZCP wheels. One of the reasons I bought these, other than really liking the design, was to offset the weight increase from the RE-11 tires over the Pilot Super Sports I was running. The Bridgestone tires are almost 14 lbs heavier... enter the VS8.2 to save the day being 18.8 lbs lighter than the ZCP wheels

Offset is perfect for me. Finish and quality was great. I struggled with the the finish to pick but am VERY happy with Signature Silver. One thing I will say, I have not seen a single picture that does these wheels justice. They are MUCH better looking in person when you can see the intricate details, the concavity of the rear, the 3" inner lip, the design and angles of the spokes. They are really beautiful wheels that are not over the top and fit the personality of the M3 perfectly.

Bought these from Jorge @ WheelAddicts and he is just great to deal with. We finalized on Monday, they were shipped that very night and I received them yesterday around noon in Canada!! Great service. That is the second set of wheels I have purchased from Jorge and he is absolutely a stand up guy. Highly, highly recommended!

Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires

Bought these so I don't need a second set of wheels/tires for the 2 to 3 HPDE weekends. They are amazing tires. I LOVED the Pilot Super Sports and these are a step up from those in dry weather grip and steering response. The stiffer sidewall really tells you what is going on under the car and there is no sense of the tire rolling over on itself. The big surprise to me... they are NOT noticeably rougher or more uncomfortable!! That was a worry for me as I wanted to use these all of the time. The PSS is a better pure daily tire but the RE-11 is almost as good but with better grip, steering response and, from what I read and have been told, will hold up better at the track.

Take a look at the close up profile of the tire in the front. It is a 245/35 tire, the same as stock... notice how low and square the profile is. The PSS in the same size actually filled the wheel well better but the RE-11 is definitely a wider tread. Love the tires.

So... as they say, the thread is worthless without pictures...

being the wheel whore that I am, I can't believe I am saying this but I like your zcp set-up better... either way looks good, but something just looks off about the Morr's compared to the oem zcp. May be alone here though

Part of that, I think, might be the tires (as silly as that sounds). The PSS I had on the ZCP wheels seemed to have a higher sidewall that filled the wheel well better than the RE-11. It gave the car more of a "lowered" look. I noticed that right away that with the RE-11 tires, the suspension seemed less lowered. Don't know if that is what you are seeing or not.

In person, the VS8.2 has a more aggressive appearance in my mind and the offsets are WAY better. The ZCP wheels have more spokes but the spokes are thinner. To be honest, I really like the ZCP wheel too... probably just as much looks wise but for different reasons. However, for weight and offset, the VS8.2 are much, much better. I plan to run the ZCP in the winter similar to forum member Daft.

I just turned 3... but hey, I bought the car with my own money and I'm very responsible... I do have a hard time reaching the gas sometimes.

My son is turning out to be a bigger car nut than I am... lucky boy, when I was three my parents were driving an Orange Gremlin with only partially working seatbelts. He, on the other hand, gets to go for joy rides in the M3 weekly

My thought is why do a review if you aren't going to put some effort into it As always, it was a pleasure working with you on these!!

Nice but I am kind of partial to the looks of the ZCP wheels. How is the concavity of the VS8.2 compared to the ZCP's? In the photos, it seems like the fronts aren't as concave as the ZCP's... is that true? What about the rears?

Front is similar in concavity and the rear seems much MORE concave than ZCP. I also really love the ZCP wheels but, in person, the VS8.2 are more aggressive and the rear really looks amazing.

My parents were the same... I was working full time in the summer for my father from the age of 13. I absolutely hated it at the time but looking back it played a big part in who I am today. I worked through university and paid the entire ticket myself. A lot of kids get too much handed to them these days and that does nothing to build character, work ethic or appreciation for what it takes to be successful in life.

Put some sealant on the VS8.2 today. The problem I have now is trying to find enough low windows to drive by so I can see what the wheels look like while driving. The more I see these wheels on the car in person, the more I am loving them. At first I was torn as I loved the ZCP wheels but now, after seeing them more on the car, I really love how they look and how much more aggressive the car looks... also really love the Signature Silver finish.

It might be a placebo effect (or the new tires) but the car "feels" lighter and more responsive now too... has to be the tires as the net weight is only 5 lbs less.

I was at Canadian Tire today to get something to repair a water hose and when I came out, there was a group of guys (4 of them) standing by the car. At first I was like WTF are they doing but when I got closer they were talking about how much they loved the wheels. One of the guys owned an E46 M3 so he was familiar with the wheels that come OEM on the E92 and could not say more about how he loved the VS8.2s. We chatted for about 5 minutes before I headed off. Love the Morr wheels!!
