I think they are releasing it in 3 chapters for the campaign so that they can get the game out sooner.

I don't know why they would release these a month apart. I expect 6 months between the 2 being released. Unless they want to release them together and have optional package deals for purchasing both, selling them too close together would be one of the worst business moves ever!

This thread got me curious about Diablo 3 (I've unfortunately lost weeks of my life to the two prior games) so I went online and watched their 10 min trailer of gameplay. Now I'm saddened because I'm going to be itching to play, with no release date in sight. Seems like everything that comes through Blizzard takes 3x as long as expected, but when you want to hate them, the game releases and it's incredible. Bastards.
