To all you guys who park your M3 during winter.. LOL
This is just a 'little' snow fall nothing special, car's looking clean..
BUT, last night we had a pretty 'huge' blizzard/snow storm, and DAMN I loved driving the ///M. Saw cars slipping and sliding everywhere (gets real icy) but not the ///M. It's such a blast to drive and honestly handles on par with my previous E90 325XI, only thing different is the acceleration, but what do you expect.. AWD 215hp versus RWD 414hp, braking is exactly the same and handling like I previously mentioned is truly on par. I'll be sure to keep adding pictures in this thread for the next 5 months or so. Little info - Previous E90 NON-M was running Michelin Alpin PA3's, 205/55/16 on all fours with stock rims. E92 M is running Bridgestone WS60's 235/40/18 on all fours with Black Sport A7 rims 18X8. Whoever said these tires or width of tires have rubbish handling on the dry are just plain stupid and only echo what other plain stupid people say and have never actually driven first hand with them. 1 degree Celsius + and yes they're not the greatest but that's only because of the M's high revving engine always lusting for more speed, but once it hits ZERO or lower in the dry then these tires are excellent, not saying they're like PS2's or PSS but hypothetically speaking if those 2 tires were 10/10 then these would easily be 8.5/10 (during winter). Thanks for looking. |

I remember them kind of days in Edmonton. My then e46 was always very surefooted never let me down also during my winter trips down to your part of the world I remember it well.

I looove seeing M3's covered in snow.
I've driven all my cars through snow, with proper winters. When I sell them years later, people are always surprised at the "like new" condition of the cars. As long as you care for and protect them properly, winter driving doesn't hurt the car. With the M though, I may not take it out depending on depth of snow. Don't want the car to become a snow plow... Looking forward to moooar pics!

Im guessing you are running snow tires? Would be great if PS2s could handle well in snow

I think the reason most ppl store it is because of salt and dirty roads. Also, my reason is because I don't want someone else losing control and sliding, and ending up hitting me. I just don't feel like going through the hassle. I park it, it's safe, clean, I don't put that many more kms on it, and when the snow melts I have something to look forward to. Just my .02. Btw ur car looks very nice in MB

Yea, we had a random snow storm here in VA and I was caught out with M3 and had PS2s that basically turned into ice cubes
