P in my rental is not working!!
guys I was driving today like at 40 and my little sister was playing with a little ball and she trow it and when to get it in the front seat I start screaming "Efi what are you doing" and she hit the gear box with her foot and put the car in P going at 40 so I got scare and pull to the side of the road and I told her to don't do that anymore and NEVER remove the seat belt when she is on the car. :mad:
so OK I drove home and when I pull the car in the driveway and put it in P the car continue moving just if I had put it in N, now I'm using the handbrake to keep the car from rolling away. I got the extra insurance when I got the rental, but I'm not sure if that is cover what should I tell them? should I tell them about the problem at all or just drop the car and that's it.

nothing should happen it should override it... try playing with it turning it on switch the gears idn what could of happend any lights pop up . what kind of car is it?

it has to over ride even old auto do this.. plus it was on myth busters 3 days ago they couldent get any car to go into reverse even a stick car from 60..
BUSTED ! i say play with it mayb its still in shock? |

BUSTED ? that maybe the case for reverse but not for P check the video that I just made
can you f**k up the gear if you are going at 50mph and put the car in P?? YES myth CONFIRM

Just return it to the rental people, mention its a mechanical fault and not your responsibilty..... Normally a rental driver is responsible for visible collision damage... etc
