How does your car run in the cold weather?

Question for my fellow M3 owners. I have a 2011 and i am in NY and man since it got cold the car is not running to great. It takes awhile to warm-up, mileage is down, i get rear end noise on slow turns and even my steering feels like the belt is slipping. I do have OE tune and Gintani pulley, I hope this is not because of these mods. Any thoughts.....

Well the underdrive pulley would reduce the power steering assist slightly at low engine speeds. Also maybe check to see how tight the belt is....

Quite the opposite for me. I'm bone stock and my engine seems to have much more pep, but unfortunatly the tires also have much less grip. A bummer of a trade-off but you can't have it all I guess.

As for oil temp, I seem to get up near 210 degrees pretty quickly. Car sleeps in the garage so that might help with quicker warm-ups.

The clutch is pumping you up down in cold start - the shocks are bumpy, noises etc.
I have 50kmiles on mine. Always warming it up for 2min

Do you want the car just go with no something after cold start?

there shouldn't be a problem in the cold....** PLEASE DONT FORGET** these are German cars, and in Germany, temperature drops below freezing. These cars are prepared and extremely capable in freezing cold weather. If your car is having problems even now when it's only the end of October. Please get it checked up.

I agree that you should get it checked out. I hear the rear differential noise when the temp drops into the teens farenheit. The only thing I have noticed with the steering is it gets tight in the single digits. The steering warms up after about a half mile. The oil is up to temp in about five minutes.

Mine is stock and runs great in the frigid Michigan winters. The only thing I do for winter is put on snow tires. Not winter tires, snow tires.
