New Order for 2011 M3 Coupe! Help

This is my first time in the forum, I am planning on special ordering a M3 Coupe 2011 carbon roof but had some doubts and questions.

It will be fully loeaded with Competition Package.

Is the body style going to change in 2013? Is is the right time to get this body style of wait?

1. DCT or Manual?

2. Colors Dakar or Mineral White?

3. I have been offered to change the seats to Recaro and Steering Wheel to Alacantra. Does anmyone here have the Recaro seats?

Any help on this would be great because I really cant decide.

5 k premium on the yellow. It may be last NA V8 motor.DCT or manual is preference but DCT Is fun and shifts.02 secs faster.

You won't be seeing the next M3 until 2014 so that is a long wait if you ask me...

Also, the M division seems to have adopted turbo as the technology of choice and all M cars in development will be turbo. So even when the new M3 comes out, I think this V8 M3 will still be very desirable.

Color, I would go with mineral white over yellow for 2 reasons:
1. Like the previous response mentioned, it is 5k extra for the Yellow unless you know something we don't...
2. Dakar Yellow will be harder to sell than white if you do decide to sell your E92 M3 in the future for whatever reason.

DCT vs manual, I think that comes down to personal preference. DCT is faster though and more desirable when reselling it.

Seats, I would just go with whichever one your butt feels better in which is probably stock. If you are the type who is going to obsess over 20 lbs of weight loss and/or this car will be used HEAVILY at the track then maybe the Ricaro seats would be worth it. However, again, I suspect the stock seats will be better for resale.

I love how the carbon fiber hood stands out in Mineral White. My vote goes to manual, imho, its more fun to have a clutch and you feel the car more. MW and 6MT, my vote counts the most, go order it!

The Mineral White I love but I am told this is an individual color or is it a new color to the standard color? Need to clarify this $5K question.

I had manual with my Audi S5 and 997 Turbo but I would like to use the New M3 for daily driver and would like to know how easy is the clutch and drivability of M3.

I am looking for something fun but I dont mind 6MT if its gonna be easy. I ask because my 997 Turbo was a pain.

Me is a just a $500 dollar option,yellow is individual color and about 5 k. If you get any color thats not individual color you should be able to get the car very near invoice not MSRP.

The clutch is as light as a Civic man, especially on the new cars, so unless you're an 80-lb weakling, it should never be an issue, even in heavy traffic. The clutch on my '08 is perfect IMO, and I can still easily push it in with my hand. Newer cars added an extra spring, so it's downright light. Drive one if you can. Hope this helps.

Dakar over white any day of the week. White is not really a color, it's the absence of color. Go read up on that.

I'd keep the stock seats, they're great, unless you're on the track all the time than throw the Recaro's on.

DCT, no question. This car was engineered for DCT.

I also have a fully loaded m3 w/ ZCP Comp. Package and i use this piece of machine as a daily driver. I have a 6 speed and the clutch is very light and easy to handle, so if you run into traffic it is like nothing honestly. Go for the Mineral White 6 speed, i dont know if u have seen it in person or not but pics do not do that color justice. good luck on your decision.

White is most certainly a color, when describing the look of something. No need to be pedantic when whether or not the light reflected off of the car can be ascribed a particular wavelength means nothing to his question. On top of that, I think you're referring to black, not white.

Black is all the colors, not the absence of color. White is the absence of color. For the purpose of this thread his comment definitely was pedantic.

One thing that's good about either Alpine or Mineral White is the CF roof really pops in contrast.

I have decided on color Mineral White and fox leather.

I will not get the recaro seat nor steering wheel in alacantra because it will make car look too GTS when it's not.

The only thing left to decide is DCT or 6MT.

The dealer offered exhaust system from BMW Performance but I am not sure if it is worth going with that one or some other make.

P.S. Why get rid pf the C63 AMG? It seems that a lot of ///M owners are going that route because of it's torquiness.

I got rid of c63 for 997 turbo, the c63 was a great car and I kinda regret not staying with it but I also heard great things of the M3 so I would like to give M3 a try.

Okay that last photo of Dakar killed it I think I'm back to Dakar. It's been the tough trying to pick the color on this. All of my other cars were white.
