Ok so its down to two colors now, opinions and voting is much appreciated. Even if you voted on my other threads.

jerez with bamboo ..

JB + ext. BB .. = heaven

There are many great combinations .. this is one of them. A classic look. Trim .. stick with CF or (if your taste allows) Sycamore .. though wood just doesn't look right in an //M.

I did ED and a friend of my wife's - who has impeccable taste (designer for a major sporstwear brand) said - and this surprised us as she's into understated, "the Bamboo is too bourgeois for this car ... better suited to a Fünfer (5-series).

Nuff said.

Not really. JzB is black-blue / FR is muted brownish red. If you examine the matrix of suggested colour combos in an M3 brochure, JzB / FR is recommended.

Not so IB / FR!

Garage List
2008 M3  [4.00]
2007 335i  [9.00]
2008 528i  [8.00]
2006 Infiniti - G35 ...  [8.00]
i think FR is the best thing the M3 comes with! If i am to choose between that and the engine I'd pick FR

I dont love Fox Red on Jerez because Jerez is almost blue, Jet black on Fox is nice though, but I would never recommend buying Jet Black.

The other thing is, if you want extended, I would NOT pick Fox Red. I think its too much, it looks weird and out of place on the bottom parts of the dash. Im so happy I didnt get Fox Red (and I seriously contemplated it for a while). Bamboo in extended is VERY nice IMO. Since this is a sedan, I would probably go Bamboo extended.

+1 .. couldn't have said it any better. No way I will buy FR extended. Also I would like to note I'm 35 and a father of two young ones so consider my demographic. I can't even fathom putting a child seat into an FR car, it will "put" me into a mid-life crisis.

buschy .. unfortunately for you they BOTH look nice so .. let me try to give you a way to objectively think about this (if at all it is even possible).

1. Classic & Luxurious look .. you just can't beat a JB/BB. The blue-ish shiny hue in sunlight with an understated beige look screams luxurious P-car. It IS the look I crave and will always be my 1st preference.

2. Fox Red is nowhere as hard on the senses like Imola or Coral Red so it is a good choice as well. However, I prefer it with Space Grey more than Jerez .. as the blue on a sunny day will not contrast "too" well with it. The place I don't really appreciate FR is on the back seat of an E90. There is no "break" in the seats (like the coupe) and one large/continuous seating surface and back rest in FR (even though it is a muted red) is a bit much for me.

Finally if you are going to ever consider resale .. the JB/BB combination will be much easier to sell. Then again I am of the opinion that you don't buy a car for the next owner but it is something to keep in the back of your mind.

good luck .. either way it's gonna be good. Who cares about the interior .. your eyes are going to be looking at the road and the tach ...

THanks, that helps, I like bamboo, But my e93 had fox and I loved it. However, I never even thought about the fact that the fox red might not be loved as much in my e90 and it was in my e93. hmm.
I think I am going to go with bamboo, and I might not go with extended either.

I would agree .. on the E92/E93 the rear seat setup really breaks the color so that allows for some aggressive shades. I've seen FR on an e92 and it looks stunning. The setup in the E90 unfortunately allows conservative colors .. i.e. black/beige/silver. Regardless FR extended requires some courage.

And go for the extended BB if you are not on a budget (and you have every reason to be on one even if you could afford it 10x over) .. it's one of the few colors that really stand out on the dash and gives the ambience a nice hint of luxury. Remember it is the INTERIOR that you are going to see the most.

I have IB and Bamboo. I love the bamboo, extended. It looks very classy.

I understand the FR with Jeraz. I think it depends on what you want.

Bamboo for that classy, understated look.

FR for the agressive, hot look.

Good luck!
