Exhaust Drone?

I've read the exhaust review sticky, but it gives little information about drone. I know that it could be a personal preference, and that some folks don't mind drone in their system.

I'd like to get a few opinions on what exhaust seems to provide the best trade-off in terms of exhaust tone and and least amount of drone.

I have one of the first Gen Riss Racing exhausts and the drone is incredible from 1600 to 2500 RPM's. They assured me that the reason the system took 5 months to get to me was because they were fixing the drone. They must have been fixing some into the system, and not out. I guess I should have spent the money from the start to get a good system.

I am looking for something in the in the middle as far as loudness goes, but would really like to get rid of the drone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Okay, let me narrow it down. These seem to sound the best to me. However, I worry about drone.

Gintani Race
Evo Innovation
Meistershaft GT2

Gintani Sport ... you have the race version listed but if you are concerned with drone I would go with the sport. My 2c

No worries buddy!! You are new and don't have to appologise
we are just having some fun bantering amongst us.

The least drone is with Akrapovic, basically none at all.
Nate at IND is great to deal with, look him up and let him advise you.

I think all the exhausts by the OP will have a LOT of drone. If you want something middle of the road I would suggest the Gintani Sport or Eisenmann Sport. If you want something with no drone it seems the way to go is the Dinan or Bastuck. That being said, I do have my Gintani Sport up for sale (or willingly to trade for a Dinan).

Why are you trying to trade? To much drone or just a sound you didn't really desire?

I think there is still a bit too much drone because I have high flow cats and a x-pipe. I think the rear section by itself would sound great with minimal drone. The cats make EVERY muffler about 2x as loud so that is why I think the Dinan would be perfect for me.

Understandable. I only ask because im looking to go with a full gintani system RACE and I am trying to get a feel for how much drone it will really have. Good luck and hope you get what you desire.

You should not be looking into a Gintani Race if drone is ANY concern to you.

Have you considered having an exhaust shop weld in some resonance chambers like AA has on their exhuast? It shouldn't cost much. I just wonder how it would sound.
