JC919 - did you get chance to listen to my sound clip from Frank? If you want to stay quiet(ish), but still get some more power, stock mufflers with Fabspeed x-pipe and HFCs is recommended. I got something like 20whp from just the Fabspeed x-pipe and the car sounded like stock at low rpms.

I feel for you Nawaaz. I've now replaced my stock mufflers with RDSport and my exhaust is now loud. This morning I set of a car alarm of a Mercedes that was parked on the other side of the parking garage. My car now rumbles in the parking garage and I'm waiting for property manager to start complaining!

^Thanks for the post. In fact, Frank emailed me a sound clip of your exhaust. I've been on the fence for a while, but I think I've decided togo with this setup as a xmas gift to myself. Oh and I've consulted my SA about the CEL issue and everything is looking good on that front.

BTW, I'm looking forward to the pics from this weekend. Heard you got a recent exhaust upgrade.--John

You'll be very happy with that setup. It's only loud when you want it to be, and the performance gains are much better than you'd get from an axle-back change. I was very impressed when I rode in Daniel's car.

I can just feel all my neighbors starting to hate me more and more now...

....I guess I really better keep it as quiet as possible, or else everyone in my neighborhood will file a complaint against me.

And then I'll have to remove my catless x-pipe.
this is why i removed my loud exhaust entirely. when i lived in my old apartments, i was getting a package out of the office, this lady comes running in like "OH YUR THE GUY WITH THE LOUD CAR THAT COMES THROUGH AT 3AM ON A REGULAR BASIS" she was trying to get me FINED! i'm like uhhhhhhhhhh, call the cops, they're going to tell you you're a crazy bitch........not just that, but i had countless neighbors walk up to me around the apartment asking me if i could make it quieter. so when i finally moved back to university park, i put the stock cans back on. i was even sick of the loud. stealth mode ftw! many of my cars have had loud exhaust and subwoofers, but that's just a cop magnet and neighbor pisser offer. while it sounds good, people will begin to hate you for it, neighbors especially.

But I'm catless, so it really is illegal.

technically, you're not. there are still cats on the manifold before it dumps to the mid-pipes. the cats where the x-pipe is now are secondary cats, or resonators. they don't do shit, really. if you removed all your cats, your exhaust would smell like rotten eggs and that is very obvious to cops.

hmmm....I wonder how I'm gonna explain that to the 10 neighbors that are gonna line up in front of my house.

Oh well, I guess I'll just keep the RPM's really low when I'm in my neighborhood. As long as I don't rev it, or race through my neighborhood, I think I should be fine.

I would, but my ssk screwed my plans up.

It's just not letting me drive freely.

It makes it hard for me to shift right before it hits redline, with crisp/clean, quick shifts...

As soon as I get my 'shifter issue' resolved, I'll make vids asap.

I'm almost 100% certain your ssk is not installed right. I'll test it out Sat, but I have a feeling your shifter may be installed backwards. If thats not the issue, then there is something wrong with the install or it is defective.

I guarantee you, once you drive my car, you'll love the ssk!!
