May I Introduce You To My 2011 E92 M3 Individual

Here are a few pre-delivery PICS of my new girlfriend from Germany.

It looks like either the Submarine Ride at Disneyland, or a 414 HP Taxi.

I drove it around for a bit before the detailing started, and several Police Cars that were cruising gave it the double look. What, they have never seen an M3 before?

After delivery PICS will follow.

Enjoy!

The Throttle Response is amazing, the car jumps right out of your hands, and that was keeping it under 4000 RPMs.

I will report back next weekend, after I have had a chance to take it through the canyons.

I guess I would say my 135i is like a 300 HP Go Kart, and the M3 is like the Space Shuttle at launch.

By the way, I am keeping my 135i too. I guess now I will be able to do a real hands-on comparison of the N54 and M3 motors first hand.

I placed the order in February. It took BMW AG 3 weeks to approve the order because of the color. Two ½ weeks to build, 3 ½ weeks on the ship, and 2 weeks waiting for the Seat Module for the Air Bag Sensor.

How could I not take it, the car is gorgeous in person. The dealer said that he could easily mark the car up 5K over sticker. Also, I guess it showed up in the system and a few people called to see if it was available.

As far as I know, there are only two (2) Dakar E92 M3s on the West Coast. mine and one in Washington State. Maybe more, I don’t know.

I was told by BMW AG, that they only “allow” five (5) of each individual color, for any one model year, and that is for the whole WORLD, not just the USA. I was also told that if I didn’t order it at the beginning of the run for that model year, that they would REJECT the order. So if they weren’t giving me BS that means if I ordered it in July, they would have REJECTED the order.

Is that curb rash on your front drivers wheel? The only other yellow E92 M3 I saw was at Crevier BMW.

It may not have been a 2011 but I have seen two different ones for sale on ebay over the past 2 months in cali alone. They were new, orders people backed out of, so who knows how true the whole 5 units per color is, that would be cool though.

The only requirement is 5K for the Individual color. You have to worry more about them rejecting your order. Also, you will probably have to pay MSRP, and the 5K is NOT negotiable.

No “curb rash” it had not been detailed at that point. It came of the truck that way… Looks great now!

Maybe the 5K price for the color hit them at delivery!

Worth every penny, after I saw it in person.

Look at the bright side, when they park your car, they can find it easily.

I saw that one online at Crevier too, but it was a 2010. Someone must have backed out…

Good to hear its not curb rash! Car looks awesome. Next M will be individual color. Although, I don't think I can pull off the Dakar.

I've also seen 1 on the road in my city. There are definitely more than 2 in the west coast.

I definitely DON’T plan on parking it in some supermarket parking lot, where the “haters” can get to it!

Weekend car only! I plan on keeping the mileage way down!
