no need to do that he can colour match and paint the door. There are places he can take the door off and take it to they will do a super job, It has been done.

Just got my race deck installed today - it looks great! Pretty basic garage and my M3 isn't even in the shot but I'm sure you can imagine it there on the right - it's a black E92.
Apologies for the crap photography too! |

My 44x28 4 car garage is 5 weeks from being finished. I can't wait. I'm going to use epoxy for the floor so I can use jacks and jack stands. Race deck looks good but not very functional (see next paragraph). I'd love to do a checkboard square border on the floor but that seems labor intensive. I'd also love to find a huge Roundel from a closed dealership to put on the wall, but that's probably a pipe dream. In the meantime I have some nice framed car posters for the wall.
Hopefully there's a 2 post lift in my future as well. We'll see. It doesn't seem like the race deck solution would work with floor jacks or jack stands. Won't the jack stands push right through the plastic? It also seems as if the texture of the race deck would not allow a floor jack to roll under the car as it's raising the car. Do those of you with race deck not ever jack your own car in the garage to change tires, brake pads or change brake fluid? If I'm assuming wrong, let me know.

wondering if a 32x40 long garage won't be quite big enough. Would like to be able to put an M3 and similar sized car in one bay so there is plenty of space to have my work tables, tools, storage, welding area, small lathe, grinder, saws, etc.
The 4 post lifts do save quite a bit of space. 12' ceilings should be plenty if installing a lift I'm guessing. 1 I beam, drop down lighting and pneumatic hose reels are a must when I finally build mine!! Keep the photos coming!!
