Got it today, only 25 miles so far. Delivered in pouring rain so not too rowdy with it so far. JB over Black. really like it. 1200 miles can't come too soon. VOB BMW of Rockville treated me right.

I'm in....as of 4/17/09....and thanks to the lemon law buyback of my 335i (and the fact my dealer had the exact build I wanted in stock).....took it to bimmerfest this weekend as I hit the 1200 break-in....

1st post but i have a question

Every time I start the car and drive off in D without activating the M button,
It selects no 2 from the D programme every time, can this be changed to start in no 3 programme without using the M button and its programmed modes?

Are all you folks aware of the dreaded M-DCT lag? There are multiple threads on this topic in the forum. A few of us are keen in doing some back to back comparions between cars that do and don't have the lag. In short the lag feels like a complete lack of throttle response for about 1 second, typically in D modes and typically just after braking and almost coming to a complete stop. If you are fairly sure your car does not have the lag, and would be willing to help us test, please post on the last page here. Link. Thanks much. Don't forget to mention what city you are in.

Is the lag not a problem in the recently built cars? I have heard that the fix may not have been a fix at all.

how many of you Mdct members have pulleys? brand? is the gain very noticeable? I've heard that pulleys for Mdct actually looses power, is it true?
