DCT

hey guys, on the tranny thats in the e92s ,whats the story with this tranny??

as far as maintanence, do you need to flush the fluids at a specific mileage?

since it does have clutches, do these clutches wear and need replacing at one point or another like a regular stick shift trans?

are these trannys pretty much bullet proof??

I just got back from big bear yesterday without any problems..however, i do have way less miles on mine. But because dct does have clutches, they will wear down over a period of time (obviously depends on how hard you drive it). You should know what a slipping/worn clutch should feel/sound like when you floor the gas at a higher gear. Just go get it checked out if it worries you..

Another thing, there are alot of other cars that had burning breaks and clutches. You can smell it on your way up and a down...So it can be the other cars that was smelling.
