Steering Wheel Choices

I am thinking about getting a gorgeous aftermarket steering wheel for my AW E92 M3 with FR interior. I have the option of getting the stripe at 12:00 on the wheel and I can get red, blue, black grey, etc. I like the idea of Red but am concerned it will clash with the Fox Red interior since the red on the wheel will be rather bright. Have any of you seen a steering wheel with a red stripe in a car with RF leather and does it clash? What color stripe would you guys go with?

Do a white stripe to match the exterior. No one's going to try and match the whites lol

I wouldn't think a small sample of fox red leather would be challenging to find. Second choice is carbon fiber if that flows.

Another thought is having the stripe a medium grey Alcantara. That would go with anything and be visually interesting.

+1 on getting a white stripe.

I wouldn't bother with white. You are right about the normal red not matching. I like your idea with the Alcantara too.

Her are two I like a lot.

This first is this...

And with the center CF price it will cost aooeox $1150.

The second is this...

This one will cost about $700 with a white leather stripe at 12:00 and comes with the CF trim.

I think I am leaning towards the second wheel since the CF isn't overdone and the type and direction of the weave matches the OEM shiny CF trim that came with the car.

What do you guys think?

I'd go with something that would be a complete different color because they'll never be able to match if you're worried about it. I had an blood red-ish stripe on my wheel on my E46 M3 and also had Imola Red interior. It wasn't even close in color but it really never bothered me nor did I ever have anyone say anything (really didn't even think about it being different shades of red until now).

I say go with red stripe it's sporty and that red against your FR wouldn't even clash unless you sat there and thought about it. Any other color would clash more or just get lost in the steering wheel and white would get dirty too easily.

Ebay custom trimmed, core was an ugly standard sport steering wheel. My car is a 3series tho.
