Sounds like a solid deal.

Be aware that the 2008 Nav/iDrive isn't quite as sexy as the -09 onward.

2008 E92 M3  [9.00]
I'd say $37,000 would be a good starting point and work your way up if he doesn't go for it. I'm trading my 2008 M3 with 41,500 miles on it that has everything you mentioned in your deal, but mine has DCT and doesn't have heated seats and I am getting $34,000 (+2,700 in tax benefits towards the trade). Mine was in a very small accident and had to have the rear bumper replaced, so that definitely hurt me. Being that I look at the total price I'm paying as opposed to the sale price + tax, I'm getting close to $37,000 (despite lower miles and a small accident on the VIN report). Definitely check on the tire tread too, that could be a factor in your offer if they aren't in good condition. Sorry for the stupid rambling... i gotta case of the mondays. hope that gives you some context for your offer

Sounds about right. Also look on autotrader.com and cargurus.com to see what else you can find at that price.

Which means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. For an 08 CPO with low mileage you are still looking at $40k+ and in some instances close to $48k.

2006 E46 M3s with low mileage are still going for $30k+. Some over $35k.

With no CPO and no warranty high $30s low $40s.

If nothing is wrong and the original posters 2006 Mitsu is paid off then it might be a wiser idea to keep that car and spend money elsewhere. Like a house or family.

What does that have to do with this thread? I did not see where the OP asked the telltale question "Should I buy the M3 or pay for orthodontia for my six snaggletoothed kids with overbites?"

You could always argue that spending your coin on your family or house is better but.....oh, forget it.

Just sayin'.

I think the price is fair. PNW prices for these cars are Jacked. high 30s is fair for a good car.

that car would be on a dealer lot for well over 40k anywhere near Seattle.

yeah I agree with you i was offering him 37.7k but it kinda sucks that it doesn't have edc, navigation, no premium package it only has the light package and the smoking package.... so yeah I would rather pay for a car that has the tech, premium, and maybe cold weather package..
