Mikewads - GT-R update
Now that TopSpeed out of the Altanta area has the ability to tune the 2012 GT-R I selected the below parts and installed them on my car (already had a catback and midpipe). The amount of amount of torque this car is putting out now compared to supercharged/nitrous M3 is mind blowing!
AMS catless downpipes Aeromotive 340 fuel pumps AMS front mount intercooler Cobb Accessport w/ TCM AMS MAF sensors ID2000 fuel injectors TopSpeed E85 tune Here are some photos of the install:

I did. It was in 97 degree heat, but it still ran a 7.2. Not with the OEM street tires. They hook pretty good at 2.8 seconds, but when I add more boost in first gear they let go. So right now I limit boost in first to 17psi and then let it have the full 20psi in second.

Yes, sort of agree, however the OP was a long time M3 owner/modder/forum member. Knowing a tad bit about his modding obsession made me interested to see his post. Also - he did mention a comparion to his (ex) modded M3.

The M3 is still a winner in my book. It's more refined and with a supercharger installed its a beast not to be taken lightly from a roll. Quote:
If I had a guess though I think its going to run 10.4, maybe a 10.2 in great weather. Thanks for expaining that.

Nice. I just picked up my super silver 2012 a week ago. I normally buy black. However, the silver really brings out the lines and looks amazing at night. I will try to post some pics later.
Those times are amazing. I have yet to see the deep blue pearl in person....looks sick. Even without mods, this thing is already like a freakin fighter jet. I initially hesitated as I love my e92 M3 and bmw in general, but I wanted a change for a while and once I test drove a 2010 I was sold. The 2012 has a comfort mode which is actually pretty good in my opinion. I'm in GA as well so I may be giving topspeed a call for an midpipe/catback setup at some point. |
