ARKYM. fail...

Purchased an arkym lip from Pyspeed back in October. Finally got it earlier this month. The lip was delivered damaged/cracked. UPS claim was made for the damage that occurred during delivery, and the lip was sent back. I surprised how bad the lip was packaged in the box by Arkym. Very slim box, no bubble wrap, or hardly any type of wrap for that matter.. Pyspeed sent out a replacement lip the next week. The result was no different. Cracked lip.. (see pics below for both lips) Pyspeed agreed to make another claim with UPS and will give me a refund once everything is processed. Has this happened to anybody else? or am i just really unlucky?? Was really excited about the Arkym front lip, but now I'll have to look into something else. Any suggestions??

Sorry to hear about this. There are plenty of other companies that sell lips. Challenge, Revinora, IND sells the CRT lip I believe.

I recieved a bumper from them with no issues at all. The packaging was very nice, and the bumper came in without a scratch.
Sorry to hear about your issue. Maybe try ModeCarbon. Sam is the man and his product is very nice! I have their lip also and it fits perfect.

I ordered an arkym front lip through SonicMS. It took forever for Arkym to send it, but no damage to my lip and it fits fine.

Bought an exhaust and rear diffuser from pyspeed without troubles. They sure have been getting alot of negative press around here lately. You can always go with IND. If they cant protect your lip for shipping then no one can.

I recommend revinora. it takes about 1.5 months for them to build but the quality and care is second to none. my lip came so well protected and the finish was amazing.

Yea, I'm not impresses with Arkym either. I had their front lip (destroyed by vandals) and have their rear diffuser. From a distance the diffuser looks good but, up close the craftsmanship is poor. The carbon fiber doesn't go all the way to the bumper, it just sort of ends...looks incomplete. Other diffusers have the carbon fiber that wraps around the top of the diffuser all the way to where it meets the bumper. Piss poor attention to detail.

speaking of packaging. I just received my painted mirror caps from IND.
The mirrors were covered with a microfiber cloth, and wrapped with bubble wrap 4-5 times (I'm not joking, bubble wrap went around 4 times). Paint finish is top notch and not a single scuff.

Thumbs up for IND. Definately will work with them in the future. Thank Iliya

Carbon fiber can be strong if there are multiple layers in multiple directions because the strength of carbon fiber is unidirectional. The monocoque of a Formula 1 car is very strong; one layer of carbon fiber that makes a lip, trunk spoiler, etc. is not strong. With that being said, all it takes is a properly sized box (so the lip doesn't slide around) with bubble wrap or microfiber clothes to protect it during shipping. They should show a little more respect towards their products and their customers.

This would be the equivalent of your BMW salesman dropping the keys of your new M3 on the floor and telling you to pick them up when you bought your car.

Just purchased painted reflectors and they came packaged the same way. Huge thumbs up for IND - even with a relatively cheap product, they still have great customer service.

I see what you mean, but carbon fiber should never be exposed! paint it!
