Carbon Fiber splitters, grille, mirrors

Where is the best place to buy carbon fiber spitters, blacked out grille, and carbon fiber mirrors? I am not sure if I want to do OEM since its pretty expensive. I was thinking maybe something aftermarket, like m0dbargains.

Any other recommendations or best places to buy?

For splitters, spoilers, and possibly the grills (I dont have em), go to eBay. Splitters are gonna hit the pavement eventually...why spend close to $1k on something that you know will get beat up. I got my OEM-style splitters for around $150 shipped from eBay. Fitment is great (almost OEM) and I saved about $500 over buying them at the dealership. Not to mention...if something happens, you can get about 4 replacements for the cost of one OEM or similar part. My CF spoiler was the same (eBay).

In general, the carbon fiber weave and clear coating are good and no one will know the dif. between a $1000 piece and a $250 piece. Most of the eBay parts have a fiberglass under-layer with a real CF over-layer, followed by a clear coat. The result is maybe 10-20% higher weight than an all-CF piece...completely negligible on a sub-16 oz part unless you are hard-core racing (I guess).

The only issue I have heard of is with the side mirror covers...fitment has been off from what I understand. I like my white mirrors on the white car, tho, so no experience with those.

Good luck.

Edit: just make sure you check the reviews of the parts from eBay. Consider contacting previous buyers, ask for pics, etc. to make sure the product is good.

Honestly, they are all about the same. The one I used (HappyBuyItNow) is no longer on ebay from what I have seen. They actually sent me an e92 trunk spoiler by mistake and replaced it with an e90, never asking for me to return the first one sent. Most of the companies are really solid...just do your homework, send messages to people who have purchased the same parts (contact people having left feedback for the seller), and you should be fine.

As a reference, I got the spoiler and splitters for around $300 - $350 shipped...cant recall exactly. A bit better than the OEM pricing, eh? And I sold the e92 one for $180 on an eBay auction. Good times!

Good luck!

Hey there! Thanks for the pics and all the info you provided. I just did a quick search on ebay and i believe to have found "happybuyitnow" but now his name is changed to "happybuyitnow168". Check out the link below...

That is who I got my first set from. My second set was from a similar retailer. The second set was a bit thinner (lighter) but the horizontal pieces needed a bit of shaving to make them perfectly straight. It is not OEM, so don't expect that. They are still good products tho! Any one you choose will be about the same.

Yeah, I've had friends who were insistent on getting the OEM ones.....and shortly thereafter cracked them - then proceeded to cry It sucks to have a $400+ mod crack on the pavement. The seller above does seem to be legit and I'll be getting some splitters from him soon. Good reviews!

If you're on a tight budget, try Ebay-ing some - it'll definitely save you some coin.

Otherwise, check out Seibon.

Hi, I just got the splitters. Would someone be able to point me to a stallation guide for these?

Or is it simply just about using some double sided type?

There is a diy video. Screws and tape. Where did you get your splitters? Good quality and fitment?

the rep splitters need some love with some paper to smooth out some of the edges. They get hand-trimmed out of the mold and it makes for some messy edges / corners but nothing that can't be dealt with easily.

the clears these people use suck bad but for a splitter you wont really notice it. My Seibon hood however needs to be redone after less than 2 years from new.

+1 for jbspeed as well. never bought from them but their prices are pretty good compared to oem and they guarantee fitment which i think is a plus since they are a vendor on the forum here. ebay route is always a good option too

Ahhhh, just left a parking lot into traffic too quick and cracked my left splitter. Surprised how thin the oem carbon fiber splitter is. Could use some help whether worth repairing or just replacing.
